Hello everyone, just in case I missed it- In the new freeroam mode, is it now finally possible to spawn yourself to any location or train station? I always enjoy exploring all the train stations and sights, also because of the collectibles. But it's so incredibly annoying to have to reload via the menu every time. Or is there perhaps a trick? Thanks & Greetings
you can spawn anything anywhere at anytime in both an entirely empty sandboxed map (basically loading any route without any vehicles prespawned) or even in timetable for a bit more AI traffic or if you want to cause chaos. unfortunately a 103 with wings is not possible though as this is not a flight sim edit: me squarehead misread it... you can spawn yourself in at any station but you still have to walk to places... but you can use trains to stop anywhere you want to collect collectibles. if you are a PC user you can use the godmode mod to tp yourself to some spawnpoints on routes to get closer to collectibles faster edit edit: overlooked the prefix bruh
I thought that you could now select a station within the map and spawn there directly instead of having to take the detour via the menu again. It's a shame, but maybe this will be implemented someday...
No, you can't. The new functionality only allows you to spawn trains right in place where you are. You can not teleport yourself elsewhere. Technically freeroam isn't new, it did already exist in TSW3, but you only could walk along the route and start services or scenarios at a certain location, limiting the possibilites you can have with the route. Yes, I feel that. Would be nice to have that as a feature and avoiding the way to go over the menu and place you at a new location and at probably slightly different time with a slightly different weather etc Maybe request this in the Suggestion forum?
Speaking of PlayStation, in free roam, how do you bring up the menu to spawn a new train on the game controller? Specifically PS4 if that matters. My friend plays on there and I use PC and we couldn’t figure out how to bring up that menu. I know on PC it’s the TAB key.
