Random Track To Know Where?

    I not sure if all routes in TSW have this oddity,but why are there section of track placed here and there that don't connect to the regular track found on the various maps?

    Bit of a guess without an example but could you be looking at a catch point which can look like points (or switches if you insist) that go nowhere? Typically they'd be positioned at the foot of an incline or anywhere else runaway rolling stock could do serious damage. If something did run away the catch point would be opened if it wasn't already (generally they face away from the usual direction of travel on a track and might be held open all the time by a spring which regular trains can push past) to derail the runaway relatively safely.
