Before I jump on the trouble ticket hamster wheel, anyone have any suggestions for how to get my profile back? I had a laptop on which I ran TSW2 and 3 and then TSW4 for a month or so before upgrading to a desktop. When I first installed TSW4 (on the laptop, during the pre-order), I successfully imported my profile and saw my level 600+ toon appear successfully. All was good.

When my new computer arrived, I installed Steam, TSW4, and all my DLC. When I opened it for the first time, however, it allowed me to log into my dovetail live account, of course, but when I did so the only option was to create a new character. I didn't see the old one, and I didn't get the import option again. I then installed TSW3, thinking I would just repeat what I'd done a month ago, but even on there I was given the same option - create a new one.

I'm definitely logged into Dovetail Live using my correct sign-in, but the old profile is gone. Any ideas for how to get it back, other than submit a ticket?

Your profile is still saved on your laptop, copy it from there.

The import profile function is not done online, but rather through the Documents folder of your computer.

I have since deleted TSW2 and 3, but in order to preserve my screenshots, I didn't delete the Documents>My Games folder. Steam doesn't know of this folder, so won't delete it when deleting older TSWs. Simply move your TrainSimWorld3 folder from your old laptop to your new computer (ensuring it goes into Documents>My Games), and try importing it again. upload_2023-10-20_13-53-4.png

Thank you both, that worked perfectly - it seems to the only time you see that Import function is if there's something there to import, which means copying it over manually. Why it can't be saved on Dovetail's site is unknown to me, but at least this worked. Many thanks.
