Actually it’s a brilliant idea. It’s so ugly it does make you want to walk instead and at the same time, you’ll do some exercise. Very clever.
I think I am on the complete wrong track here but I have come across many individual trains/locos with weird quirks and tendencies, is that what Saxon means, perhaps?
Ugly is what feels unpleasant to look at... Weird is anything that seems unexpected or 'not the usual'
