TSW4 crashes my PC (under Steam) whenever I try to run any option, regardless of which Train/Loco under Time Table in the ECML Doncaster-Peterborough Route (Reduced or Not Reduced). No crashes occur in any other routes. The game crashes and shows the following Unreal Engine Error message: LoginId:e84494f8439b7903f43dca978b25d225 EpicAccountId: Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000000000000000 TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld kernel32 ntdll Note 1: This happens irrespective of whether or not my PC is running Overclocked or not. Note2: This happens irrespective of whether or not I am running with a modified Engine.ini or not. Note3: This happens irrespective of whether or not I run the game under DX 12 or DX 11 Note 4: No crashes occur when running any other routes, irrespective of whether or not I load Timetables or Scenarios; or whether I run training modules; and regardless of which train/locomotive I select. I have Re-installed the entire game. The crash still occurs. I have re-installed the ECML Doncaster-Peterborough Route. The crash still occurs. Any suggestions as to how to solve this anomaly? Yes. However, I have found that this strange crash occurs whether I have the mods installed, or not. And, the crash only occurs in Timetable mode on that specific ECML Doncaster-Peterborough Route. Nowhere else. (Edit: changed text colour)
Most mods from tsw3 don't work in tsw4. Only use the mods that have the tsw4 tag which you can filter. Then do a file validation.
I earlier reported I had removed all mods but still experienced crashes. I had another look and found I had skipped some. have now removed all mods and no-longer experience crashes. Many thanks for the advice.
