Peak Forest Railway, 50% off Bremen Oldenburg, 50% off Northeast Corridor: New York - Trenton, 60% off
Ironic those are the routes advertised. All fairly boring routes imo, Bremen and NYT are stutter messes apparently - tbf PFR dosent look horrible but steam isnt really my thing. CLL, BCC And TVL are on sale for really good - CLL is a good non linear route with PEPS, BCC is apparently one of TSW3's best released routes and TVL is less then a tenner and is one of DTG's best TSW2020 works. get them if you can.
Hit on a snag in trying to buy some of the discounted TSW3 routes on steam. Ny-Trenton which I previously had on XBox but I have no confidence in that platform's version of the game ever being fixed, won't allow me to buy it because it says it needs TSW4 Could DTG perhaps "please correct the error" so I can try again?
Hmm, the Bremen - Oldenburg route is a bit tempting. Would love to buy one of the routes with the N Wagens, but don't know which one.
Also if I am correct it is a good match with the Niddeterbahn (they layer into each other), which is a route I would also like to get in the future.
I think you are trying to buy the TSW 3 version of NYT while not owning TSW3. If that is not the case, still try to buy the TSW 4 version. I bought BRO for tsw4 and got both versions. If it doesn't give you the TSW 3 version for some reason you can still refund the dlc.
BRO has a very good timetable, but the route itself is rather bland. LFR is (obviously) very scenic, retro and has the 103 on top of the 110+n-Wagen+KaKo. I’d definitely recommend LFR over BRO (especially if you like vintage) and as you said yourself, it syncs beautifully with Niddertalbahn. Depending on how much you know about German railroading, you will notice though how much rolling stock is missing on LFR.
What you think is happening is literally the exact opposite of my problem. I clearly stated I am intentionally trying to buy it for TSW3, as I do not own TSW4. However the TSW3 version listed in the store says it requires TSW4. My guess is it's a SKU issue which showed up when they added the updated TSW4 version. You do however raise one potential solution if DTG cannot get this fixed before the sale ends, which would be to buy TSW4, don't install it, buy this, then refund TSW4.
I really like both Linke and Bremen but they’re issues do let them down quite a bit, scenery wise they are of great high quality.
