I'm making a (not for sale) route that needs the type of covered third rail that Dovetail used for the Harlem Line. I want people to be able to use my plugin even if they don't have the Harlem line DLC, which (if I understand things correctly) will be no good if the plugin I'm making is looking for the Ribbon Loft Descriptor from that DLC.

So will I have to work out how to make a ribbon loft descriptor (which I only tenuously understand), and meshes from scratch; or will it get baked into my plugin, in which case I'm worried about nothing?

Any advice or help would be appreciated!

note: I've seen that bremen is making their own track (looks amazing ,btw), but I wouldn't know how to integrate the seperate meshes into the Ribbon loft descriptor (or edit the ribbon loft descriptor at all for that matter.) If there's any documentation on it yet, I haven't spotted it. I wish I could just import the Harlem Line assets into my plugin.

I'm going to throw in the towel and try making my own ribbon loft descriptor and meshes. I know there's a thread about doing this already, so I'll follow in their footsteps.

Hey guys and gals, should we ask DTG for a tutorial on this?
(Fixed the typo, for anyone wondering what FTG was)

Today I found out we can just make our own Ribbon loft Descriptors:
