iv done two now and sent Alex and Mat a message as well what a joke my my plan is that we all boycott TSW 4 for two months over December and January this will show that we are not Happy who's with me
Makes me question if there is actually testing going on with these patches. How does an instant route crash on a console not get picked up?
The problem that I see with Thomas Ham's idea is those of us on pc aren't having many issues at this point and I enjoy playing the sim.
Yeah, I'm buying the Just Train Route as soon as it comes out. ECML is running well for me currently.
I haven't had a chance to play since the patch, is this affecting just ECML and PS or are other routes and Xbox/PC affected? Also, frankly, a boycott is a crazy idea, like Fawx I am looking forward to spending way too much time on JT's route when it releases!
Reports are only coming from consoles affecting more routes, not just ecml. I've just tested on steam and no crash
This is getting ridiculous at this point. Seriously, an update that suddenly results in the route just crashing every single time on PS5? And it’s affecting more than just ECML on top? How did this update go live?
Tried the new patch and ECML is still crashing for me. Should I remove some of my dlc files, would that help performance? PS4
Crashing on ECML seems much better now, but still often crashes in the Doncaster area for no apparent reason. PS4.
So it's been well over a month since release now and these issues still haven't been fixed? - Units all being numbered 801234 - Cables between coaches don't move and just appear to fall off every time you go round a sharp corner - 5 coach units don't have the correct formation and are missing the onboard shop - Vigilance alarm goes off when you're either idle or in neutral and leave the driver's seat - Next station stop on the driver's screen jumps one stop ahead, screen also shows random train reporting numbers that aren't correct - External PIS only sporadically shows the train's final destination (not sure how it's supposed to work in real life but this can't be it?) - Passengers don't render correctly and appear to be wearing black morphsuits - Passengers on platforms try and keep walking into walls and get stuck, I've seen this occur at Peterborough and Newark - Platform screens don't show the next service for that platform once the AI takes over your train EDIT: diesel engines still run on AI Azuma services, and raised pantograph on 9 coach sets should be at the rear. Surely there'll be a patch for these issues?
The units being numbered all the same is a core bug, so there is a risk of it causing problems on a bunch of other routes as well. Dtg have to take their time on that one.
1S06 has an AI service in front of the service that doesn’t move around Peterborough area so I’m stuck behind a buggy Ai azuma
Also on custom liveries, certain coaches won’t load on a 9 car azuma, there’s also a lot of lag and stutters on ps5
Posted this elsewhere too but when going through a neutral section with the Azuma the line volt lights remain on, surely those lights should briefly go off when passing through the neutral section?
For some reason Neutral sections only work on DRA and Voralberg on all the other routes with Neutral zone they have power on that section
Supposed to work on Edinburgh to Glasgow too, but Rivet broke it with the post release patch so that more often than not the train breaks apply as you go over it.
That was fixed in a later patch. I drive the route all the time now and you do not get the braking anymore.
It's inconsistent. I personally experienced it braking when going towards edinburgh recently and didn't in another service
The doors open WAYYY too fast. The train itself is good but does have some issue with textures at certain times
On the OHNS, a thought, do you center your combined throttle/brake as you approach the section, I always do.
I believe it's considered good practice to manually run down the power before the circuit breaker opens automatically, if only to minimise jerk effects on the train. The advance notice is supposed to give enough warning to do that with tap-changer locos, for which running down takes significant time. With modern traction you can do it just before reaching the actual location.
I had another thought, are you running one of the shorter services or an end to end service when it happens. I tend to only run the full line.
Yes, power down for neutral sections, as said above to just minimise the jerking of power going from full to nowt, which is otherwise caused, and has previously led me not to be popular with the 'teamaker' a couple of times in the early days of 80xs!
LNER 801s do not run with the front pantograph, if I recall correctly matt#4801 can correct me on it if I’m wrong. Only 10 car 801s run with front pantos, that and and the custom livery’s are very buggy and fps killing on PlayStation
Did a 21.17 5+5 Azuma Leeds- Kings X service starting at Doncaster. Service 1A52. First stop was Retford and just before it was a 66 freight service on a siding with the last one or two wagons still on the main line blocking my path. The red signal doesn't clear. It was my second attempt at this service. First time I deleted the 66 it resulted in a crash and the second time it was deleted successfully. Maybe a patch fixed that problem. At Doncaster the TMS displayed Swindon (??!!) for the next destination as well. Checked and it is 138 miles away as the crow flies. Thought it was rather odd. Have a nice weekend all!
Correct, 9 and 5s run with the rear only and on the tens the front unit has its front pantograph up and the rear unit its rear panto up.
This may have been reported already, but... For northbound services stopping at Retford, signal D143 seems to be missing a yellow light. This is the last signal before the station and the one that releases your train into the junction. I don't have a service number but I have noticed it on every approach to Retford from the south. Approaching Retford gives the expected signal progression for approach control, however, signal D143 only shows the direction indicator and no single yellow. Once you satisfy the approach control the green light comes on. The approach control functionality seems to be working correctly; D143 just needs a new bulb.
Actually, it's precisely the approach-control functionality that is broken. This signal shows a normal single yellow aspect correctly. It's also a fault common to all the junction signals on this route (eg. when entering the Up Slow at Stoke Summit, or the Down Slow on approach to Doncaster) - in addition to the flashing-yellows sequence not being used in several places where it should be (most noticeably on the approach to Retford's Up platform, but I think most of the passing loops should also have it, as they have 40mph entries clearly designed to allow a freight train to come in smoothly and efficiently, and the crossover between the Down Slow and Fast some distance after Helpston). This would be a good place to mention the other "generic" signalling fault I've noticed on this route. Flares associated with signal lamps appear to have a separate animation cycle to the lamp itself, so they often show out-of-phase with each other when showing a flashing aspect (of which there are considerably more than usual, due to the special high-speed test signals installed on Stoke Bank). This is common to both the filament lamps and LED lamp heads on this route. One type of signal head actually flashes the flare but not the lamp itself. I've also noticed this out-of-phase problem with German Ks signal heads, eg. on Bremen-Oldenburg; I should check whether I can also observe it on the Hl heads on Dresden-Riesa.
My safety systems once again are completely silent on XB Series S for the 801. And when I say silent, I mean silent silent. Not just really quiet. It was working fine in the initial update after early access but I’m guessing another update since then has broken it again
Ps5 free roam doesn’t crash just freezes in place forcing me to restart the game. I can still hear train sound effects as if it’s still moving, and I can still open ps5 home menu
