Gone for a bit of a change, instead of an ultra-modern route that only really caters to a certain audience, going for this period offers a bit of everything for everyone across this iconic, busy and popular mainline. For those like myself who prefer electrified trains/locos and routes and those who prefer a period route with an older more hands-on experience.
    Route length: 112 Miles
    Stations: 26
Major calling points: London Euston, Rugby, Coventry, Birmingham New Street
    Possible trains: Class 86, 87, 310, 312/0
Points of interest: Br modernisation (electrified WCML), Northampton loop, stations under construction (Milton Keynes)

Do feel free to notify me of any mistakes with this one. If there are any stations that didn't exist in the time period or the trains etc. I deliberately chose a wide time to allow for changes.

A decent length route in the BR Blue era would be a day 1 purchase even if I never really got the hang of tap chargers in TSC haha

WCML South is actually 32 stations excluding the DC lines

Left them out because I don’t know what trains would’ve used them. If it’s 1970s you could use the 72 stock but before then idk what would’ve gone beyond harrow towards Watford.

That's easily fixed. The Bakerloo Line ran to Watford Junction until 1982 with 1938 stock.

The 1972 stock transferred from the Northern Line to the Bakerloo Line in 1977/78 and for a short time operated both Watford and Stanmore branches of the Bakerloo before they were transferred when the latter branch became the Jubilee Line. Otherwise, the Bakerloo Line was operated by 1938 stock until they started to be replaced with 1959 stock from the Northern Line in 1984 and then the returning 1972 stock in a couple of years later.
