Both 5X03 and 5X23 have been broken since the release of Diesel Legends in TSW 2. Matt had a fix in progress for 5X23 in 2021 that we unfortunately never got. Maybe the past 2 years have not been enough and we just have to wait another 2-3 years until the Class 08 and the wagons are moved a few meters to finally be able to complete the journey chapters in TSW 5, 6 or 7.
Just tested one workaround for complete this whit TSW4. 1) start service and go near the stuck coaches. 2) Do NOT couple whit coaches, climb down and spawn one class 101 at exit of the shed in the same track of the coaches and 08 (photo add) 3) climb aboard of class 101 (or other diesel unit) and accept service. 4) the IA of class 08 couple whit coaches and pull foward whit no derailment. 5) Also the IA stops when noticed the class 101 spawned right ahead. At this point climb aboard of Class 08 and accept service 5X23 coach preparation. 6) after that delete the class 101 spawned before and you can go whit the coaches coupled by the IA to Paddington station to finish service.
