Hi experts, how can I place buffers correctly snapped and connected to the track? Simply place the buffer in the world seems not the right way...
Just tried this in Network Edit Select Track Mode by placing a buffer from London Faversham Content "BP_SEH_Buffer_01" onto the tracks and it stopped my Class 101 with a hefty bounce back. Beginners Luck. It seems to work when the train gets close to the buffer even if the buffer isn't in contact with the tracks!
Good question, is there any key combination, which helps to snap any object to tracks direction? I think there is the magical TABulator key in Train Sim Classic Editor. I was lookin´ for such a key in TSW Editor aswell. This could be a very important tool for Editor V.2, if it doesn´t exist at this moment.
Has anyone worked this out as of yet? I can drop it into the level but I'm unable to interact with it like rotate it or align with track.
I think it's because you are in "Manage Track Sections" mode. Change to "Select Track" and it should be moveable.
That's cool to know! I already placed some buffers on the some track's ends but especially in the last days often thought about whether they are just a visual asset, which can be runned over like everything in else on the map or actually stop a train from proceeding, because I have a place on my map where I want to stop the player proceeding in that direction and moving on with a cab switch. I thought about placing a bumper on it to make it clear, even though one does not exist IRL. A bit weird, but could stop people from being confused. I actually run into a bumper while playing Dresden Riesa once at Dresden main station, but this actually breaked the game, because I run over the stop marker I guess. So never had the experience to "try" the bumper out, yet.
