Here's my route suggestion: The S3 Rhein-Main Line - 49 KM (30 MI) from Bad Soden to Darmstadt Hbf - Main motive power: DB BR 423 - Depot would be Frankfurt Hbf Depot - Route would be extremely busy around Frankfurt (S Bahn, ICE and DB REGIO) - 2 TPH throughout the day - Potential for the S4 line to Kronberg (for non linearity and a slightly longer route coverage). - RB/RE services available - Quite a few freight services - We'd have Frankfurt(Main) Hbf, the 2nd busiest station in Germany...! - Variety in service running, from Single running to underground running, etc. - Takes a bit over an hour to complete the full run. - Darmstadt is big, expansive and a busy termini. Anyone think this is a good route suggestion? DTG would only need to make the DB BR 445/446 (for RB/RE services), the 423 can be reused, and it's only about 35 miles long (including the short branch to Kronberg), or it could just be 30 miles for the whole S3 line. And with all the services, S Bahn, ICE and DB REGIO services being put into the mix is gonna make this route quite busy, maybe even busier than Nahverkehr Dresden, and maybe even making it the busiest and best German route in TSW.
