Nose art for the Javelin. This is my first post, I'm excited to design more of these. The liveries created by this community are wonderful. Weathered graffiti recreations have my total respect.
Hi mate good to see something breaking the mood so to speak, away from the usual liveries over and over. It why I started a thread yesterday called The Works Shed. A place where I’d love to see younger audiences place funky cool artwork work up with out upsetting the traditionalist. This would be perfect as I tend to do mock fictional liveries my self to mix it up a bit add variety and enjoy creating something different. As I used to do nose art work of the likes of B17’s and B24 Liberator and many over planes,,,on paper as I do love art work. Especially aircraft nose art. So yes great to see away from dare I say the boring old BR stuff. Looks good are you basing it off a certain aircraft as I’d say the old Grumman F14 Tom Cat would suit the long sleek nose of the Class 801’s They used the Shark nose design a lot. Anyway I had to comment because it’s stuff I like myself. Art and Design. Again why I set up the The Works Shed to share and meet up over topics of art and design,,share tips and advice away from the stuffy old BR green or BR blues. So yes great to see and these are only first test shots. Be great to see the finished product. Ace one. Lee(TSLP)
I’ve already commented but I just want to show you a livery on hold but I’d rather do it at The Works Shed as this is your work and post. But if you would to see it then it will be on The Works Shed thread. Cheer again.
Thank you for your kind reply. I would be happy to upload in your thread when I have more completed liveries. I have some underway. This design was freelance with primary inspiration from both shark-faced and tusked A-10 Thunderbolt IIs.
No worries mate,,,it will be great to see it when there ready and it would also be great if you posted on The Works Shed. I would like it to be the place where it’s open to artists and see work like yours,,,. And I’m glad you mentioned the Fairchild A-10 Thunderbolt 11 too what a tank buster that is. Been one my of favourites for years so again it be great to see your work when finished. I’d also like to say thank you too for your reply back. Much appreciated. Well Good luck and keep us posted.
