Running the NJT 3228 timetable mode service at 08:57 to Penn Station, I ended up in a long queue line in the Penn Station tunnel. After a bit I looked in the map mode and found I was probably the 9th or 10th train in the queue and that it wasn't moving at all. At the front of the queue was a train waiting just behind the first manual switches in the yard after Sunnyside Loop. It seemed like the AI wanted to access the yard but couldn't change the manual switches itself so it just ended up sitting there. After that no other trains could use the loop so the backup started there and went through Penn Station out to where I was. I know quite a few people have mentioned being stuck in queue lines getting into Penn, for anyone who has, did you notice what was causing the backup? Has anyone else seen an AI train get stuck at a manual switch after the loop and gridlock Penn Station? I should also add that the dispatcher was having trouble with my train and another AI I was following. Before reaching the gridlock at Penn, I had another issue where I was approaching Secaucus and the dispatcher lined me into the same platform that the other train was occupying and gave me clear signals right into the back of the train. I got stopped in time and after a bit the other train left and I was able to pull in.
So I found what the issue is but unfortunately looks like another service that will go on the list as unable to finish. The issue is an Amtrak cab car service AI which I think is the 640/643 Penn-Penn service is on the outer track and going around the loop at sunny side loop,it’s stuck behind the manual signal as you mentioned. As you start the service, you can go to the mini map and see that AI train is already stuck. I tried spawning in on foot at 855am at Rahway. Good news is when you spawn in that AI is before that switch and is able to move thus that train doesn’t get stuck. Unfortunately as I have mentioned numerous time before, you are unable to take over the AI trim service 3228 at Rahway as the brakes don’t release. So here is the list so far of services to avoid, 642,3930,3210,3222,3234,6222,3825,3936, and now 3228. Some you can try to spawn of foot 5 or Ten minutes before and if you managed to take over the AI you might be able to finish the services. Below is the captured AI train at sunny side yard loop. I'm trying to keep a list of services to avoid to help prevent players from running into these services that you can't finish. It's very frustrating to drive for over an hour and then come towards the end of your service only to see a lineup of stuck trains. I'm not sure what the fix is but just more to add to the list of bugs on NYT DLC. I love the new time table and won't ever go back to the reduce one. But all these issues are frustrating and wish we could get some fix or at least get a reply that they know about these issues. Hope this information helps.
I figure with sandbox tools now available in timetable mode I can probably just delete that service and it would uncork the drain to let the other trains through. It worked well enough on a stuck service on Linke Rheinstrecke, although that service wasn't blocking my way, just the oncoming AI.
