    Hello,
Couple Questions I wanted to ask:

    1) Is it possible to make an underground route (like the Bakerloo line in TSW kind of underground route?) in TSC?

    2) Any advice on making locomotives? I would like to make an Electric (and maybe Diesel and Steam down the line) one from the Isle of Man but I honestly don't know where to start other than research. Do I need any special software as in Blender? If so, how would one get a model into TSC to test it?

Thank you for your time and I look forward to playing TSC and hopefully making some routes in the near future.

    1. Yes, there are a handful of routes that are metro systems, such as the U-Bahn or the Glasgow subway. In terms of 3rd party there's the Virtual District line as well.
    2. Locomotives are difficult to make since there's a lot of parts to them. Sound, scripts, animations, controls, physics, and modeling are areas that take a bit of practice to master. It's best to work yourself up from porting simple things such scenery and child objects to modify existing locomotives with, like horns, decals, or other bits to correct the railroad spec (where I'm at in terms of content creation). To create an object is not difficult, you just need Blender and the Briage plugin. http://jujumatic.free.fr/ The Train Sim docs Developer Docs are also a great source to learn from. http://tscdevdocs.co.uk/

It is absolutely possible to create underground routes, but it's a very niche thing.

You can mostly accomplish them by driving at night, so the world is dark around you with the desired number of stops. Bonus, you can add various light sources around.

It is also possible to create lit tunnels, but it can get a little expensive. I believe it's possible to create ambient-independent textures, used primarily for coaches to pretend night lights. Otherwise, you need many little sources like the Horseshoe Curve centenary scenario.

Also, TSC doesn't allow certain cameras in tunnels. There may be ways (and bugs) around them, but it restricts you to driver view. And when you are free to fly, you really are free, allowing you to see the tunnel pipes from outside. Sure, you can create a pile of big rock faces to block any and all view.

Another workaround is to create a line that runs between walls, but happens to be open. There are many examples. Again, running at night can feel fine.

The New York underground stations (Penn, Grand Central) and their tunnels are excellent targets for investigation.
The North London Line also has one branch that is underground, one of the scenarios starting there. Plus of course NEC Railfan's list.
