The West Coast Main Line (WCML) is one of the UK's major railroads. It connects London with the West Midlands, North West England, North Wales and South Scotland.

WCML's mainline is 401 miles (645 km) long and runs from London Euston to Glasgow Central. The most important stopovers are Milton Keynes, Rugby, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Stafford, Crewe, Warrington, Preston, Lancaster and Carlisle. A complex system of branch routes and alternative routes connects other major cities to the WCML: Northampton, Coventry, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Stoke-on-Trent, Macclesfield, Manchester, Bolton, Liverpool and Edinburgh. In addition, the WCML forms part of the suburban railway networks of London, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow.

Theres loads of routes Id like on that network. Preston to Carlisle with the option of going to Blackpool would be a cracker. The one I see as maybe being the most realistically suited to TSW as it is developed at the moment would be Manchester Piccadilly to Crewe? One of the longer DLCs 50 miles or so? Could run a Pendolino, Voyager, a Northern EMU?Its a class 323 and I believe DTG have the TOC license. Could use the ews 66 with its container wagons for the Crewe and Trafford Park services.
