I am getting some very low frame rates around Layton and the west side of Poulton on the Blackpool route (even on Freeroam with just one train, suggesting it's a scenery issue). Are others experiencing this? I'm on PS4. It is a shame as it's ruining my enjoyment of what is otherwise an excellent route.
I think this is due to our hardware more than anything else. Lots of unique assets etc in that area. I always save game in the area just in case
So we seem to have found a culprit in regards to the performance between this section and aim to have it in the upcoming patch with other fixes such as mastery.
I have also noticed, that when you go into photo mode and take a distant picture of a class 47 with a large BR logo, the left part of the BR logo is missing in the picture, I don't know if that's a DTG think or a JT thing. But keep up the great work guys, the detail compared to the real life route is staggering, its the best route by far I have ever seen for a TSW route. You guys rock!.
This is still a major issue on PS4 after the patch. I still have very poor framerates and severe stuttering in this section. It has really ruined the route for me.
What I don't understand is we all have the same machines be it a ps5 xbox series x. I have series x and have reported in other threads that I get poor performance leaving Blackpool north to the next station and also stuttering around Preston station but the feedback I get is it's running smooth for me or no problems here and there on series x as well. How can the same machines be acting differently.
I´ve asked this myself. To the contrary of a zillion possible PC configurations, the consoles should have equally configured batches, at least in the hundreds of thousand range. BUT: That doesn´t address the layer question. I might have more or less routes and loco addons on my PS5. Many of them layer (or not) into other routes. And I think this is where we lose the common denominator.
The frame rates have improved around the Blackpool North area but its still not perfect tho, I still have a bit of stuttering before coming into Blackpool North, or when leaving it, but its not as bad as it was
Mine is bad in this area even in Free play with no AI trains so I think it's a problem with scenery and tiles loading.
