Run8 Coming To Console

I just saw someone posted a review on xbox for tsw 4 saying Run8 was coming to console in January 2024. Is there any truth to this? I haven't seen anything to indicate this myself. It's got my hopes up though. It would be nice to see another simulator on console, and maybe even get DTG to make better products because let's be honest, they've been going down hill in quality.

 

I'm 99.999999% sure it won't if it's "Run 8 Train Simulator" you're talking about.

They're not advertising, they're self publishing via a website without a proper webshop or user accounts, and they're a small team (though active since MSTS aka 3DTrainStuff (Cajon, Tehachapi and Donner Pass routes, and Cajon Pass / US Assets for Kuju RailSimulator aka TSC)).

Can't imagine them chaining themselves to Sony or MS, they're independent and happy with that imho. Not even distributing on Steam or Epic, so really nothing is pointing towards that console rumour.

They were probably thinking of SimRail or something else.

 

Most likely SimRail, yeah. Though surely not January 2024, as it's still in Early Access on PC.

 

As stated, before Run 8 ever came to console they would have to tidy up their sales operation and start virtually from scratch on that side of things. Their shop is probably the worst part of an otherwise great product.

I would love to see Run 8 come to console or some other decent tran Sim ...esp with x box s x and ps5 .Even if console gets another high quality TSWlike game or better ..I wont give up on TSW i like train sim games cause of DTG stepping into the console world with TSW series

 

I can't imagine playing that sim on a console, there's lots of things like dispatching, tagging cars, industry config and a lot of keybinds. Deffo no simulator to play with a controller (only).
