My personal favorite, the SBB Ce 6/8 "Crocodile". This machine was built to be powerful and able to negociate tight curves on the Gotthard line, hence the articulated 3-section design. The "crocodile" series were in production from 1919 to 1926, and a couple of them are still in running order today, though only operated for historic excursion trains.
One word: Deltic. Jump to about 17:25 and turn your speakers up. I believe further explanation will be unnecessary.
