Dang. Just give us an import option under profile. Simple. And then i can remove my Level 35 TSW3 in Windows 10 quasi-XBox. Now back at level 1 in TSW4 again and yet again.
Hello there, if you missed the prompt to transfer profiles you can do so retroactively by going to Main Menu > My Profile > Switch Profile > Import Profile Please Note: - Profiles cannot be transferred across different platforms. PS4 and PS5 do count as different platforms. - You cannot import a profile with the same name as an existing profile. that Import option does not appear. Over on TSW3 my profile on that PC seems fine. I am only offered the option to create a new profile, which i have tried. That option is no help. I don't believe i missed the import option. I had recently uninstalled CSX Heavy Haul on the PC. It has a lot of Brit and US DLC on it under TSW3 and much more under TSW4. Any other ideas ? My PS4 got TSW4 Special, but this was TSW4 vanilla for the Wn 10. The PS4 also has a TSW2 installed. Thanks robert
Have you logged into dovetail live first? At least for me on steam, I had to first log in and the profile from tsw3 became available to import. In tsw2-tsw3, you first had to create a new profile with a new name and then it gave you an option to import your old profile
Hello there, do you have your old TSW 3 save installed on the same PC that you are now playing TSW 4 on?
I posted this issue weeks ago and submitted a ticket which was responded to, but standard answer did not work for me either. Upon installing and running the first time, I did not get the import profile screen, just create a new profile. I watched videos and read all documentation with no success. I always get just the create new profile screen. I've been away from home for five days and will begin this quest again. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am wondering why we cannot just copy a profile file from 3's directory to 4's. or just have someone update the software to always provide an import profile option screen. There should also be a combine profiles function. I have a powerful Windows 11 machine and Xbox consol.
Jan, thanks for your assistance, but there is something else going on here. The Import Profile screen never came up on my install and nothing I do will bring it up. I've followed all procedures multiple times and nothing changes. I've run TSW3 for over a year and it is still remaining on my machine. The profile I want to import is still there and works perfectly in TSW3. Both games 3 and 4 work fine except for a few minor bugs at times. This problem for some is important to us and we keep getting the standard solution, which, for some reason, will not work on our installations. I've even shut off my security software for a bit and nothing changed. I'm always logged onto Dovetail Live. What could be different on the systems with this issue?
I formatted my computer and my profile is gone from TSW 3 and TSW 4 and my tier 2 mastery is gone too that I completed for the ECML route. Also even though its showing that i've completed the first mastery level I'm still level1 haha
Sorry to reload this old thread. I've installed TSW4 on my SteamDeck as well as TSW3 and don't have options to import my TSW3 profile into TSW4. Any ideas?
Yes, it's installed, on the same device, same account, profile on TSW3 works, but for TSW4 it's not selectable
