Hi, On Blackpool branches the class 47 service that takes the MK1s from the steam rail tour from Blackpool north to Preston im having trouble releasing the brakes and the train just won't move when the BC dial is on 0.0 can't anyone help.
Mk1s will be vaccume brakes I believe, so you'd need to set the brake selector to Vaccume and build pressure to 21" or the train brakes won't release
What's more, the 47's vacuum exhauster doesn't start running until you have the Master Key in and the Reverser away from Off. You'll definitely want to use the Loco Brake to hold the train while waiting for the vacuum brakes to release; they take significantly longer than air brakes.
