Hi, I was wondering what each colour of head code means and what the numbers mean.

The two digit headcodes were used to denote the route the loco was working, for example, 62 was Charing Cross to Gillingham via Lewisham, 38 Victoria - Canterbury West or Margate via Herne Hill and Orpington.

Two white rectangles were displayed if the service was light loco (with 2 red on the rear cab) or if the service was inter-regional (or freight).
