For all it's flaws i enjoy the dynamic weather. Yes sometimes the changes are not logical and in soms routes/seasosn it will always go to storm, but it adds variety. I just wish i could have more influence on he starting conditions. Now the presets feel very limited. Clear/light clouds/rainstorm is the basic setup I think dark clouds but no rain should always be an option. Feels like the standard European Fall/spring weather Foggy now is full fog. I would like to have the option to select how much fog. Ideal: give me the options of fixed weather to set starting weather, then adjust them dynamicly while i'm playing
And give us the ability to change the temperature please. Tbh: I always use custom weather and I try to simulate the current weather in the place I'm going to play. But in winter this can be impossible as the game will always give you a negative temp turning rain into snow.
Godmode is in the game it self! It brings a lot more options... You have to start you're route and train and you can setup the weather in startup settings and tune it with the godmode afterwards. So check YT for some videos about this mod. It looks complicated but it isn't for the weather settings.
Godmode is the way to go. It's within the game, while running a train in a scenario. Makes it easy to adjust the weather while driving. I do it often. Start the run in the rain and by the end, I've changed the weather several times to have different conditions. And it's way more realistic than dynamic weather. I set it to whatever real world weather is IRL.
Which is possible. If the temperature is above freezing (0°C) it will rain and if its below it will snow. With Godmode you can actually change the temperature.
Very much agreed, every run in the last week I have done has ended up with snow. I really like dynamic weather but I am going to have to just run in custom if it will get snowy every time.
Right, but that isnt how it works in reality. I can tell you it doesnt snow nearly as often in the UK as it does in tsw.
Of course, you are right. It's also possible for snow to fall even when the temperature is above 0°. Then we have freezing rain, snow and rain mixed etc. It would indeed be nice to have one slider of snow and one for rain, but for now the best way to do it is to just set the temperature to 0° or above.
Well godmode is good for pc users but console users don't have that option. I do feel like the weather selection is way too limited. We need more options such as setting temperature and changing how quickly the weather changes because every time I play in dynamic weather, it rains and snows way too fast and is unrealistic
