I was making some "free roam" drivings, with this really great tool! One of them, was after I ended a freight service on the Dresden Riesa Route, on the small yard at the north part, some km away before Riesa. I noticed to access that yard, there is an inverted "Y" of rails. Then I decided to make another free roam, driving from that yard, to Riesa one, using the other part of the "Y" Please check the map below, the red circle. As it is a short ride, I decide the use the BR 363, with some freight cars. See the following pictures... I started driving there, but despite you can see all the tracks and scenery...then surprisingly this message appeared! In English: "End of session: You have reached the limit of the represented area" Strange! As all the trees, tracks and scenery is there. But something even more strange happened. I check the map, and I noticed my train, appeared on the "other side" of the Y! Then I have to walk up to there - of course not directly, as I can only do it on the represented are. So first walk to the left, and then when close to the main line, walk to the right up to the train. Why DTG created those kind of areas? If there is a track, then using Free Roam feature, you can drive throught it! I have a similar experience on Hamburg Lubeck. Going through the Hamburg south branch for the specific freight yard, I saw the depot for the BR 146 and Dostos. Then I thought...it will be great to get one of them, and goes to Hamburg Hbf! Taking the train, as on real life, from the depot, to the departing station. But... exactly the same as mentioned above in Dresden Riesa. When getting close to one of the BR146 , the same message showed above.. appeared! You reached the limit of the represented area. Ohh...what a pity! So please, kindly ask DTG, to allow us to use any area of a route, but only using the great Free Roam feature!
If they didn't create those areas, you'd be met with a blank space - a real immersion killer in a simulator. It makes the route feel like it actually goes somewhere instead of just a black void. It is inaccessible because you are not supposed to go any further. Only AI trains going through 'portals' can.
