Sorry butI find it crazy that DTG thinks a fiver is an appropriate price for a livery that 1 is already on creators club and 2 its literally lines of colour... come on now ah ah Edit: my apologies its not DTG but my statement still stands
Livery plus 5 scenarios, then all the cuts from the storefronts. I’m not buying it personally but the price is the price for a reason.
1. It’s not DTG’s 2. CC can’t have any unauthorised copyrighted content 3. A livery is a livery some are more basic than others see ICE 4. You don’t like it , you don’t have any obligation to buy it 5. Price not too right, maybe see if it enters sale 6. It’s also a scenario pack Personally as long as it’s not over £5 it’s fine in my books for pricing, the £10 one (I think it released the other day) wasn’t priced right IMO part of the price is VAT or your countries VAT equivalent, it’s a political problem not fair on developers that one, I’d say take it up with them (politicians) but we all know how much they would listen..
DTG are only publishing it. How much do you think will be left after DTG and Steam have taken their cut? This is a new developers first release. It is fine if you don't think it is worth it, but maybe don't belittle developers as they are what will keep the sim interesting. I have bought it to support a new developer, and it looks very well done, although their class 104 is what I am really looking forward too. However as ever some know the cost of everything and the value of nothing.
Definitely one I’m quite exited to wait for, I’m glad to see more loco addons about and coming about now, they’re hiatus before was a mistake IMO
You can't have licensed liveries on creators club. More than 2 lines of colour seeing as it has dedicated scenarios. They are a new developer and not everything in life is free.
Can't compare it to CC liveries. Only one of these will spawn in for example. CC livery spawning is awful. Frankly, I want more livery packs, vary it up a bit.
It’s literally a third of the price of a salad in NYC And to put that into context, most people eating a $15 salad in nyc don’t even like salad A salad that will last you 10 minutes before you get tired of it and yeet it into the trash If I use this livery once on a 50 minute drive, it lasted me longer than that salad… not exactly setting the bar high here but there you go
The livery offers a higher quality than anything CC can currently offer. The pack includes 5 Scenarios additionally, including unique changes in them (e.g. TSRs), which can't be offered on CC. The £4.99 is for the Livery and those Scenarios, not just the livery. Nobody is forcing you to buy it. To put the price into perspective: A pint, on average, costs £5.90 in the UK. This pack costs less than a Pint does in most places. It's really not worth kicking a fuss up about.
Agreed CC is super hit or miss and the substitution rates are insane. Wish it worked better, I’d dabble more often
TSW needs a feature to make unit numbers selectable to use, even better if we could assign liveries whether CC or our own to certain ones or perhaps a non or random option.
This is needed. Th one thing stopping me from using Creators Club is the same number train popping up twice.
I agree, Class 395 had a ton of good liveries on CC but the spawn rate was really off. it would be helpful to pick out certain liveries as well, and when dlcs such this one or the one that came out a while ago for ICE, it would make more sense for the liveries to only apply to the correct units, not at random and unrealistic as is the case currently.
Also CC liveries always end up blurry (no fault of the creators) just the way the text on them works. They really don't compare to official versions at all.
Yeah, I'm on PC, max settings, INI tweaked up and CC liveries still have blurriness/jagged/pixelated stuff on them sadly. Combined with the spawning issues, I basically just don't use them anymore.
It really is a shame they become blurry once uploaded. I know it's probably to cut down on file sizes (and therefore server costs) but it can't be a coincidence that the only way to get high-res liveries on consoles is to buy them.
The price is quite reasonable for a livery and five scenarios. But I've got several versions of it for free from Creators club and I rarely do scenarios, only time I do them is to learn how to operate the trains (as usually it's more in-depth than the training modules), so for me, It's the first UK DLC I won't be purchasing.

Not getting the logic of this one. If people rush to spend on this it would likely set a president that charging for single liveries is acceptable
It's a new livery, some scenarios, and improvements to the 323. Saying its just a single livery oversimplified things.
To be totally honest, I doubt there’s a rush to spend. And the new third party knows that. This is more of a way for them to gain experience and exposure to the TSW ecosystem. They had no TSC exposure either. Any sales are probably gravy. The bigger fish for them is their next dlc, and hopefully they can continue to climb the ladder from there.

Ah quite right, it includes some scenarios as well. This has fully convinced me to buy will get the debit card ready on release day...
