As the title says, after the Winter Core Update, the editor crashes every single time when trying to play in editor. So far, the only exception seems to be the Frontend Level (main menu) but that one also crashes as soon as I try to load into a route.
After talking with Muff (TrainSimCZ) we concluded that PIE crashes because the editor has not been patched yet for the new core update, if you wish to use PIE, you momentarily have to downgrade your version of the game, which can be done over the steam console, with this command "download_depot 2362300 2362301 420852969002169707" this will fix PIE not working in your editor or any other problems that might have arised because of the new Core Update.
DTG Alex please take notice on this. It would be good to have the editor working during Christmas time when most people have spare time!
Just jumping in to say that we've seen the reports on the Editor and will look into why this may be happening since the update yesterday. Thank you for the reports, and the additional detail above.
did that, still crashing on PIE god and I was almost finishing, already had data tracks and stuff on the timetable -.-
Not sure when the latest changes to the editor arrived but mine has now updated and PIE seems to be working OK.
Ha! PIE is working for me now. After a few days of hard thinking, I figured, that in order to revert the update, have to replace the TSW4 installation (TS2Prototype folder) with the files I downloaded using the Steam Console... My brain at full power, lol, getting old quite fast recently Without the update revert, PIE was still crashing for me.
