we can see on the roadmap that there is one german route missing . normally every 3 months one route got published but now there is no german route to see.. even the DE/AT loco got removed and much more stuff.. will they now continue to just bring one loco with every new TSW? if we look on the roadmap there are almost no UK DTG routes . only a really short line .. in the 4-6 category should be place for another route but how it seems to me DTG is getting lazy... it seems like the UK route in 0-3 will be one of the last UK dlcs from DTG until TSW5.. or forever? who knows. DTG probably thinks they dont need to make content if 3rd parties does that.

The reason because there is no german route in the 0-3 months category is because they just released Maintalbahn less than 4 weeks ago. This DLC was in the 0-3 months category in the November roadmap.

For the german content we have 3 routes for TSW4 already or yet to be released:

    1. In category 0-3 months: Maintalbahn (Aschaffenburg-Miltenberg)
    2. In category 4-6 months: Rosenheim-Salzburg
    3. In category 6+ months: (not announced yet)

Some people may even prefer more quality than quantity/regularity with DLC releases.

Germany generally gets quite a good deal from DTG in TSW, as it dominates mainland Europe content. Maintalbahn may be a dud and a few other routes like RT or West Rhine are damp squibs but it does fare quite quite well.

What it does need is some of the existing routes extending or joining up into a network. Also more retro content instead of DB red and Dosto cab driving everywhere.

Germany very recently had a new route released (Maintalbahn) and at least 2 more on the way, 1 of which was recently confirmed to be Rosenhiem - Salzburg.

No, the month counts are from the month in which the road map comes out. If it were counted from TSW4 launch onwards, the 0-3 month category would be completely empty by now, wouldn't it?

But yeah, we just got Maintalbahn, and there are two more German routes on the roadmap plus an Austrian one. Doesn't look like Germany's getting neglected to me.

I get where the "all German routes have Dostos" thing comes from, but the last new route with Dostos in it was actually Tharandter Rampe almost two years ago. There are loads of nearly identical Dostos in TSW, but the only TOD4 ones are the DRA ones that have pretty distinctive VVO/S-Bahn Dresden branding. Getting neutral-ish DB Dostos with an up to date feature set in Rosenheim-Salzburg does actually fill quite a big gap in the available rolling stock.

That said, I'd absolutely welcome more vintage and/or non DB red content, but as far as I'm concerned, that could absolutely include some nice 90s mint&pastel turquoise Dostos and an DB AG orientred or DR bordeauxred 143.

Yes, I already edited my post after thinking about it. Strange that you could qoute my post still since it already was 12 minutes ago when you replied. Server problems?

Well, since we still in the 0-3 months time frame after launch, that was (emphasizing was) my thinking. But sad that this makes things even longer to wait for. So, Rosenheim-Salzburg will be released around eastern I guess.

DTGs new move is making routes expensive and give us just 3 and not 4 a year

I wouldn't mind to wait longer if the quality for what we pay for would be raised a lot for the next routes. So, regularity of DLCs - although painful - isn't even the biggest problem.

I bet a lot more player would be willing to purchase more routes and even wait for them to be relaesed if the quality level would go higher.

Also look at the US people. They are at an even worse place than us.

there is not much you can do in the USA. like every route is 100,200,300km long and DTG only can choose 60km of it.. UK is really getting to much. if just TSG would make a product in 6 months that would be really good for us

There have been bigger gaps between german routes before and routes from any country for the matter, I'm really struggling to see your point here because dtg certainly haven't stopped caring about germany.

Don't think so. If I were DTG, I wouldn't release a German route (which even crosses into Austria!) and an Austrian one immediately after one another. There are quite a lot of people who are interested in both countries and are much more likely to buy both routes if they are released two or three months apart rather than at the same time. I'm willing to bet Rosenheim-Salzburg (since unlike the Austrian route it's been announced already) is much closer to 4 months than 6, which would put it in March. If you also consider that a) most of DTG will be out of office over Christmas and b) quite a few of the same people who work on German content also do Austrian stuff that's not that much longer than usual.

Uk only has 1 route that we know off in development by dtg since tsw4's release, where's germany had 3 (including Maintalbahn)

I think this could even be the best plan for DTG: Getting more third party creators like Just Trains or TSG involved, which do have the time, ressources and interest to provide more quality content.

I even raised the idea that DTG should completely focus only on improving the main game instead of creating new routes at all, and leave all the work with new routes open to third party developers.

I really think this could be a win-win for all sides.

Imagine complaining as someone who's country is already in the DTG trio... Then there are countries which never got an official route in the almost 15 years that TS and TSW exists.

As for what is the next German route, it's quite clearly Rosenheim-Salzburg.

You didn't get my point did you. You are asking for more even though there was already a mountain of content made for you. To me, that just feels very very entitled.

Ooh goody, more drama where none is required!

There are two German routes on the roadmap, with one just released! There are two USA routes on the roadmap! There is one DTG UK route on the roadmap! I would say Germany has had some of the best and most interconnected content so far.

we need something like the Southeastern Highspeed.. hundred kilometer highspeed line and 70km Regional line . why dont we get something like that? even if its just an 10km section like on the Basel to freiburg section. that would make much more fun then only driving on one line

It may be better to say exactly what route you actually want in the suggestion forum. DTG would just be scratching their heads trying to figure out what could please you from this thread. Is it four boring routes a year like before or is it one really good route?

did that so often. no of the routes ever came or will come.. next year we will only get 2 routes a year. i can feel it if DTG makes this move from 4 to 3 german routes per year

Some years you will get more routes for a certain country, some years you will get less, that's how it's always been and that's how it will remain.

Yes, with the number of German Routes in the game and two, soon to be three, Swiss Routes I think we can conclude that DTG "doesn't care" about that content

SKW turned into a complete bore fest, so another high speed line would not personally appeal to me.

About the only thing it had going for it as a TSW3 core route is that it was slightly less boring as Cajon.

Have we here a case of short term memory loss, or did Maintalbahn not just release?

I think the problem of this post is that from the very beginning it builds on a wrong statement. DTG does care about german stuff, otherwise we wouldn't have a single german DLC released or planned to be released anymore, which is also not so an obvious thing since Dovetail Games, and most employees in this company, are english people. And it's not so obvious for me that english people immediately need to have an eye-catch or are fallen in love with german content.

So for once, let's appreciate and say thanks for the many german content we got up until today and that DTG even decided to hire and work with german developers at all.

However, in all the hate for the main concern that "DTG wouldn't care XY" which I also disagree, I think that the OP also has some true points in it, which in fact many other users in this forum do share or can see.

DLC quantity of DTG's own DLCs has been reduced. That's a fact, and has nothing to do with the main statement, but which I don't necessarily see to be negative if enough third party developer catch up and maybe even provide DLCs of higher quality than DTG has the time to do.

Independent of its association to quanity, I also could see the statement "DTG doesn't care about german content" in the relation to quality rather than the meant quantity. But that is also the case with many routes from UK and US. Upgrades with new content are planned for some DLCs (which is great!), however should also be done to many others, considering DLCs - despite the amount of work needed to be done to create them - still are of high prices.

And we indeed can expect high quality content for the prices we pay. No doubt about that.

I think we all share the same consensus that we want more routes and more qualitive routes in Train Sim World, and this independent of whether it is Germany or even the "Big Three" at all, although this is of course not possible with the people and ressources they have today.

Therefore, we need more people engaged with route creation and maybe become third party creators. The problem is that the Editor is not yet in a state, where people in masses can help DTG out. Many functionality is missing. Stability is another big concern. Plus, last but not least the documentation, tutorials and masterclasses.

I really wish that DTG solves that problem and in the end if they emphasize with more work on that topic now and the next months/years it really could pay out well for the company but also the customers.

The next one is in 4-6 months.
Considering DTG are off for the next 2 weeks or so, that writes off that much development time.

Maintalbahn just released, and now DTG will be working on Goblin (UK) and Salzburg (Germany/Austria) - nothing is "missing"

Come on OP DTG are very generous with German content, personally I'd like to see them change to another European country such as France, Italy or Spain because I'm getting a bit tired of repetitive content that all looks the same with DB red being largely the only colour scheme always available. DTG is a British company and if it had followed the lead of both the well known German and US train simulations available out there then it would produce solely UK content. So I think the OP ought to be thankful that there is so much German content and stop moaning.

Nothing is missing, the next german route is releasing in 4-6 mouth with another one coming after that, there has never been a regular 3 month interval for german routes are any country for that matter.

And how do you know the next one isn't in 4 months? It says "4-6 months", not 6 months as you claim.

The problem perhaps is the vastness of platforms and programs.
    Hence the dispersion of resources.
    An example?
DTG develops Germany, England, USA, Austria on old gen Xbox/PS, current Xbox/PS, PC.
Additionally developers like Rivet Games produce for TS Classic, TSW.
Profit is the most important thing.
After all, this is what society puts in our brains since we are children.
Gross Domestic Product, productivity, profit, well-being, continuous economic development.
The imperative is to earn and buy (perhaps in installments), otherwise you feel out of the game.

I actually don't even know how you can say this when Germany has had the best deal so far for TSW4, and has always had a very good deal in the past. You literally just got a route released, you have another one on the roadmap coming soon, and Germanys best route (Dresden-Riesa) just got an overhaul with a really good loco (Vectron).

Germany is by far the best represented country in TSW, followed by the UK, and then distantly the US in third of the big three. Then heaven forbid if you want a route from another country. The only country of the big three that can say they are suffering from content is the US.

Objectively false. Germany has much better content than the UK, quality wise, and at this point probably even quantity. I play both, and own nearly all the content for both.

that isnt correct. look at the third parties and DTG combined. there will follow much more for UK while germany waits 3 to 6 months for every route and not even a loco dlc with it

THAT IS WHAT GERMANY IS LIKE. They use the same rolling stock, because the actual DB use the same stock you lemon. They can't use what isn't there.
Germany has the best routes in TSW, hands down. It isn't even a competition.

You're just trolling at this point, there is no way that someone can have their head in the sand this much.
