Tsw needs some metro north content we should be able to get the Hudson line no matter the length of the route or dtg should finish NEC from new Rochelle to Stamford there could be some Depot runs between layovers and some good realistic locos that run NEC or Hudson I can't see for NEC they can mix some New Jersey transit that runs from Newark international airport to Sunnyside yard at least the Secaucus junction stop can use some New Jersey transit cause in reality it's not a amtrak stop
as well as metro-north's new haven line with M8 fleet [from grand central or penn station to stamford or new haven].
I would love to see Grand Central Terminal to new haven because it would definitely be awesome to drive the M8 to new haven.
Which means four brand new eastern Bronx stations by the future [Hunts Point, Parkchester-Van Nest, Morris Park, and Co-op City] this is to/from New Haven; and between GCT in NYC & Stamford, CT will continue make local stops via Fordham.
It would definitely be great to see the New Haven line in TSW. Being that there is a portion of trackage and Metro North signals just south of New Rochelle on the NEC New York route in TSW, I think they should extend it southward to GCT and build the existing NEC New York route eastwards to New Haven. If this gets built, that would allow for future additions for the New Canaan, Danbury and Waterbury Branches. If the New Haven line gets built, I hope the developers create the Shoreliners (I-IV), BL20-GH, P32AC-DM, M8 and M2-M4 EMU's.
Never gonna happen. That would be way too long for any route in TSW. Stamford MAYBE, but they would never take it to New Haven.
I think dovetail could release a Dlc of the metro north grand central to new haven they got the assist to do it.
And plus, aren't you tired of passenger trains. There is only 1 American route that runs heavy road trains and that's Heavy Haul. Northeast Corridor is switching and light runs. I say we let Norfolk Southern take charge. Union Pacific, BNSF, heck even Ferromex. Anything except passenger runs.
It’s all opinions sir. To you it maybe a lot, but to others it’s just not enough, that’s how it works. Me personally, I want more but I realize that it wouldn’t quite be so fair to others that don’t want more MTA passenger content. Everyone will get their turn to get what they want, eventually.
Wouldn't DTG please more people if they did the routes equally. Say for instance release a route based solely off freight, then one based mainly for passenger runs, and then a mixture of both
They could do a route based on freight but I think DTG should do more freight scenarios and routes to make everyone happy
It's not that I don't like passenger services I just wish we had different locos to go with them. Like the DE30AC, f40ph, and other engines. I just personally don't like cab cars and wish we had more than just cab cars.
Another cool feature would be on NEC running a passenger train with a gp38-2 or gp40-2 because the acs-64 broke down. Like I said, I don't hate passenger, just wish it had better engines.
I’d like to see tri rail and or a route with F40PH or E8/9 Or the ability to pick and choose like csx on the gwe or vice versa Gwe on the lirr or necd
I've started doing some research on the line and the engines and I think I would actually like this route. I realize I've been kinda biased and I think I would enjoy Metro North content.
South Norwalk is the end point in one of the ts scenarios when you drive the p32 as the Danbury express I use to take a p32 from Grand Central to Danbury that's how I no and in South nowalk they are building a new train yard called the dock yard project which there will be a new walk bridge that Crosses the Norwalk river
Also, U had a New Canaan Branch that TSW should also consider it as well. Which means the whole route from GCT to South Norwalk or Westport including the N.C.B. line.
