Class 47 Volume

    The 47 loco appears too loud at idle from the outside. Seems to be so loud that it can be heard from a great distance away. Anyone else feel the volume is inappropriate?

    It is rather loud yes.

    If you mean the Blackpool-Preston 47, then yes, I do find it far too loud, especially when you compare it to the sound level of the pacer, I have to keep adjusting my sound level up and down all the time, it does get annoying.

    Yes, the sound is propagated too far from the loco.
