How can I automatically set tracks on (ground)? Every time I lay a new track it floats in the air. This makes connecting individual tracks difficult or even impossible. Sea Level is setting zero
There is a "Snap to World" checkbox in the track-laying tool. Though I wouldn't recommend using this to make elevation data for the main track. Instead, you should try to figure out what the continuous gradients are and set the elevation values manually. Also if you spawn in the world and walk around, is the landscape collision working properly? If it's not, right-click on one of the landscape tiles and pick "Regenerate Landscape Collision Components". You might have to do this a couple times along the entire route because not all tiles a loaded at the same time.
Thanks. Can you help me with this problem to? I'm looking to fix it, but i don't find anything. Spawn in world whith "play here" or stand-alone?
If I remember correctly, the huge spikes are caused by the LIDAR data not having a nodata value. The editor just can't deal with it at the moment. As for playing, just hit the Play button. Playing in stand-alone would load you into the main menu and that's not what you want in this case.
yes, the spikes will show in game, just remove them manually in landscape mode. unless they’re smack in the middle of your RailNetwork, if so I’d recommend redoing the Lidar files.
I have already reset the lidar, unfortunately without success. How exactly can I remove these spines? When I click delete, I'm always missing a complete tile, so I have a hole in the terrain.
You likely won't need to remove the whole landscape tiles. Just re-apply LIDAR with proper data. As for getting proper data, you need to add nodata values when converting to .ASC You can also see if it was done properly when you open the file in notepad afterwards.
