Can’t DTG add some present day British trains too because some people are more attached to them than trains from the 80’s

They will come at some point. Maybe the next UK route is a more modern one, we will have to see.
TSW is very early in the days content wise so its really hard to please everyone and there are quite a few people that prefer that stuff over modern and vice versa.

And how would you know that? Since nothing has been officially announced?

I hope we see some “modern” (98’ onwards) UK route but feel that licences could be the issue.

I think once they get a few "cross consist possibilities" (locos or units that can give variety on any given route) then they will likely be able to start another "round" of releases

The problem with "some people like this more than that" is you end up with people liking steam, people liking 80s, or 90s or now...

I mean personally I am a Cardiff kid who likes 150s, 180s, 37s, 47s, HST, 60s... Basically anything that ran through South Wales and Gloucestershire in that era, but I doubt we will be seeing it that quickly in game

Yeah those are RUMORS so I think they are there to just think it will be the next route

Yes but you can use SWR services, Virgin trains, greater anglia, London Underground(s stock), Gatwick express, southern and possibly more

Why do you say that? DTG may not hold those licenses for TSW, even if they do hold them for TSx

Modern trains are sometimes harder to get licences for, like London Midland and especially Virgin, so maybe a route around the early 2000s like WCML North with the Virgin Trains livery (they have the licence now) and InterCity?

Don't assume that because they have a TSx license that this applies to TSW, it probably does not

Removes pin from hand grenade: Let's face it there were more interesting trains in the 70s/80s/90s. More locomotives, more variety. Today it's just units isn't it? :)

I think that there was probably more variety in reality, although many of them were painted blue or grey, so that was slightly less interesting.
I also think that any transition period (such as we are in right now) allows for greater variety depending on where you live, so we have lots of units and trains being phased out as well as the units that are replacing them coming in
The ennui will be in a few years when the old stuff is truly gone (thinking HSTs, 365 and a few others) and it literally is the same basic EMUs doing cattle truck duty.

I'm not really concerned about the colour of the paint but there was plenty of livery variety in the 80s/90s. Most of these modern units are essentially the same apart from the paint but I grant you that paint schemes do change a lot these days.

The Virgin license is pretty new, right? Train Sim World new. So I wouldn't be surprised if the licence also allowed for VT's use in TSW. Would have been sensible, I say.

For whom? It would be sensible for VT if they had tied it down to specific trains on specific routes in specific software, that way if someone wants to make other things they have to reapply and repay...

On the flip side, if they had to pay a substantial amount for the dual licence, and TSW was new, with an unknown popularity, they may not...
    Just speculating.

With a product such as TS doing so well, TSW might not have had a market, DTG being their own competition.
