Hey all. I have not yet upgraded to TSW4, so have a question. I've been watching YouTube videos of the new sim and see the "distance to" readout has changed from an actual distance to a barber pole. Is there an option to also see the distance in numbers in the top of screen HUD without turning on the <ctrl-1> marker which shows distance numbers? I like to play TSW3 from cab view and with as little HUD turned on as possible, and I use the distance in numbers quite often for backing up to couple and even for a better feeling of distance when stopping at stations. I'm not sure the barber pole is going to cut it for that purpose. I only have one good hand and so find it difficult to turn markers on and off on the fly just for distance and the floating marker is very distracting and takes away from immersion. thanks and good day
Yes there is - in the "HUD & gameplay" menu, there's an option called "minimal HUD distance" which shows the distance as a number next to the barber pole:
There is also the option to just use the old HUD. That keeps everything the same as in TSW3 but you can add the track monitor in the top right of the screen as well. The same elements can be turned off as could before to keep it as you like it.
