Today I am suggesting the combined Atlantic Coast and Truro Newquay route set in 1960. This route runs for approximately 44.5 miles from Par at one end and Chacewater at the other with both lines meeting at Newquay. The section from Chacewater to Newquay closed in 1963, hence the chosen time period. Stations included are... Par Luxulyan Bugle Roche St Columb Road Quintrell Downs Newquay Trewerry & Trerice Halt Mitchell and Newlyn Halt Shepherds Goonhavern Halt Perranporth Perranporth Beach Halt Mithian Halt Goonbell Halt St Agnes Mount Hawke Halt Chacewater Set in around 1960 it would allow inclusion and use of long gone Express/Cross Country dmus of Class 120. Atlantic Coast Line Map Truro and Newquay Line Map Class 120 Cross Country DMU at Bugle (Included version in BR Green livery) Class 120 Cross Country DMU in BR Green with cat whiskers. Hopefully this suggestion sparked a little bit of nostalgia and interest.
