No Trains, No Routes

I'm new months so it might just be my own error or I'm too impatient but I don't have any routes other than the training centre. I got the deluxe edition and was expecting to be able to try the East Coast mainline for example but haven't got it as an option anywhere.
I've completed all the fundamentals in the training centre and it says I've only completed 2/35 tasks?

Any advice to a newbie gratefully received

 

It seems you have bought but not downloaded the routes. In TSW, each route is its own DLC, and is downloaded separately. Check the PS store/Xbox Store/Steam/Epic (whichever you play on) and ensure everything is downloaded.

Training Centre is the base game, which is why it is the only one there.

Indeed, you are correct. However, the three routes must be downloaded separately (if you are lucky then you won't have to do it manually, but ricky wasn't). By downloading only the base game, you only download the training centre, hence this thread.
