I've ridden on the Nevada Northern RR, and one of the steam locos pulled the train. That was quite a few years ago. I still would love to operate one of their locomotives, especially one of the steam locos; although I did get to blow the whistle on one of their locomotives. I did operate the UP GP30 #844 at the Nevada Southern RR Museum in Boulder City though, and that was way cool. The NNRY handled mining trains and interchanged with the SP and WP along the route. Now the line is a tourist RR with several operational steam and diesel locomotives.
OP really needs to provide more information and weigh the route against DTG’s “LAMP” process to consider whether it has a cat in hell’s chance of being made.
