    ECML Extension
I feel an extension of the ECML to York would bring a much needed large ,so to speak ,station to the ECML and the inclusion of famous locos would add the stardust TSW needs.

    York Station
With 11 platforms a large station like York would add the Terminus like station that it feels is needed on the ECML.

    National Rail Museum

    No. 4468 'Mallard'

Probably the most famous locomotive in the world 'Mallard' reached a high speed of 126mph, still the fastest speed for a steam locomotive to date.

    No.6229 'Duchess of Hamilton'
'Duchess of Hamilton' came to fame after 'Coronation' got broken before a trip to America. Thinking quickly the LMS decided to fit 'Duchess of Hamilton' with streamlined casing. Despite 'Coronation' being blue and 'Duchess of Hamilton' red because they didn't have colour photos the Americans didn't think it looked anh diffrent!

    No.92220 'Evening Star'
Built in 1960 at Swindon Works it was the last steam loco ever to be built by British Railways. As it was the last it was the only 9F to be named by BR and was painted in BR green usually just for passenger locomotives. It was also given a cooper topped chimney which traditionally was only given to GWR locomotives.

Great suggestion, York would have been a very logical place to end the route initially

I feel an extension would not be possible because as it currently stands, it’s over 70 miles long and with an extension to York, you’d be looking at over 100 miles of route. I’d rather get a Newcastle - York route, maybe even stretching to Leeds as I feel a route like that would offer alot more. And even then, I’d rather get locomotive add ons like the 91,800, 331 etc to add some more life to the route. Nonetheless, I do like the suggestion and it would add a lot to the route

I think actually that an extension of roughly 30 miles is fine as its a question of how much you can put on a download and as 30 miles is a normal size for DLCs and there are no major stations it would be possible

But bear in mind, that in Train Simulator Classic, the full route was York-Peterborough, so I think it would be possible, since Peterborough-York is actually shorter than the Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel - Würzburg, which is 115 miles long. But yes, I would have rather had York-Newcastle.
