According to this thread: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/winter-core-update-part-1.76999/ It is coming. They don't always delay releases you know.
Optimism? It was meant to be a feature from release. One of the main selling points of TSW4 and we have had to wait and are still waiting months. They shouldnt have marketted suspension and all these good things when they knew they hadnt moved an inch. Its just another way to grab our money. Lets see what it is in TSW5
I have noticed that can spawn individual wagons using the free roam spawn train feature. Not a fun way to build a consist but it's something.
We can already sort our own consists anyway. We just need to uncouple then from the loco. Creates a nice shunting puzzle.
Problem is we've all been burnt before, that we can agree on, not once, not twice, but, well you know. Totally get what you're saying. Just frustrating wanting TSW to be what it should be...
Eh, I'm just being optimistic that things may change. They may not, but I don't like to think that way.
It will be released in TSW6! Seriously though, probably when they come back after winter break. Latest they'd push back is till late spring or early summer maybe.
If TSW 5 is a thing (let’s be honest it most likely will be) pushing it back to early summer means we probably wouldn’t get much use out it since DTG would be hard at work making TSW 5 already.
It should have been in at release. If they weren't ready to ship two of the key features sold as part of TSW4 (Formation Editor and Suspension System), the game wasn't ready to be sold, pure and simple. TSW4 should not have been released, without the features it was planned to have.
I so agree with this (and am surprised that so few people seem annoyed by it). We are now in a different year but still haven't seen these promised features in-game despite them being openly trailed at TSW4 launch. If these features, plus a fully working Editor, come along in January then DTG will probably get away with it. If not then, really, they should be answerable to the ASA.
It would have put all TSW4 dlc to release on hold, which is probably the reason they didn’t, but yea it’s a pretty bad thing to happen regardless.
