This is an 86 mile route that runs from Chicago Union Station down to Milwaukee. I was going to suggest the Surfliner which I may end up doing so, but uh lemme give basic info about the route.

It’s about an hour and a half in length which is just a little over the average for a TSW route. It has just about 7 daily round trips (14 trains) on the Hiawatha and 1 train per direction per day on the Empire Builder. But more traffic might come from freight. The top speed is 79mph and tracks are owned by Canadian Pacific (I think) and it’s average speed is 57mph. Not too fast but it’s okay. Metra also runs a section of the line, so if the license is received for TSW, we could get more services.

    Stations
    Chicago Union Station
    Glenview
    Sturtevant
    Milwaukee Airport
    Milwaukee-Intermodal

    Rolling Stock
    SC-44 (Siemens Charger) - Engine
    Horizon Coaches - Passenger coach
    Venture Coaches - Passenger coach

Why should we pick this route?
Chicago has sort of been wanted in this game, and it’s one of the only few Amtrak routes outside of the Northeast to have sort of frequent service. This can also include freight and diesel Amtrak routes. With 7 round trips on the Hiawatha, it’s a good route if you want one for Chicago. Probably set it modern.

    Scenarios
    1. Sunrise Run
Take a SC-44 from Milwaukee to Chicago filled with passengers. It’s dark out but the sun will be coming out on the left side of your train!

    2. Sinconsin
Drive a rainy evening SC-44 run from Chicago to Milwaukee, but there are some problems on the line near the end of the trip. It’s the Christmas holiday season and a whole lot of people are flying into Milwaukee for the holidays. Even worse, several trains have been cancelled due to of an earlier train incident, causing a backup. Can you make it to Milwaukee without too much of it a delay?

Too lazy to think of other scenarios, if this route does end up happening (which it probably won’t) DTG can make the scenarios anyway.

If this route is made, we should get a CP Rail SD30C-ECO, GP20C-ECO, ES44AC, and/or SD70ACU for freight services. A KCS/CPKC ET44AC, SD40-2/SD33ECO, GP40-2/GP33ECO, SD70MACe, etc. would be perfect for freight services as well. I'd love to see the CP Christmas Train in game, too.

I would surely like to try my hand at driving any of the modern Siemens Chargers in the game
