That one is rubbish. We're kinda hoping there is a better one in the works. For example by ATS, a second dtg UK route or maybe this is by rivet.

Look at the roadmap. The next uk route is by rivet. The unnamed dtg route is probably goblin. Ats are still working since it's in the tba section.

Personally, I think rivet may be working on west Highland line. Which, if they get help with building the train, could be a fantastic route, as rivet can be very good at scenary (usually if they don't have to worry about the train).

But I'm not sure apart from that. Really I just hope it's another Scottish route. I don't really mind apart from that, as long as it isn't some boring low level commuter route similar to cathcart.

I mean let's hope this UK rivet route isn't as bad as the rest, but I must say the island line with the 484 is probably the best of out of the UK routes they have made.

Going by the fact that their new Swiss route hasn't released yet, and their next UK route is only a few months behind that, I don't expect we'll get a particularly big route unless they've expanded their team significantly or been working on both routes for some time now, amongst other projects like their delayed engineering pack for Edinburgh - Glasgow.

lol. I'd still buy it if the train was of good quality. West highland line is beautiful at every section. But yea, I see what you mean. :|

Considering Rivet routinely put out routes in both Uk and Europe, I suspect they have two teams.
But given they posted about the 380 on a newly electrified line, I suspect that either that line or the 380 is going to be the main feature, as rivet don't post willynilly.

I swear if rivet screw up the 380 I'll die. It's both my local and favourite train.

  12. Scotland route? The 380?

    Please elaborate....

380's recently started running the new Glasgow Central to Barrhead electric service. That's a 7 mile route though. The already very short GOBLIN line is nearly double that length. If it's an update to Cathcart Circle with Barrhead added and a 380 layer for Edinburgh to Glasgow it would be more appealing.

Are DTG and Rivet having a competition to see who can build the shortest urban route? They may want to take a look at Upminster to Romford.

Anything with a 91 would be fantastic! Though I'd prefer Doncaster to Newcastle, with some way to merge the Peterborough to Doncaster to this on the PS4 all set in the same era.

Rivet posted on their twitter (now x) page I think of a real life class 380 which runs in scotland. Rivet don't randomly post things without reason so players are speculating the next uk route from them is in scotland.

Regarding the Class 104 I spoke about the other day, see JT's response on the forum prior to release of the BPO:

"Appreciate the post, unfortunately picking a route and hoping to do all the stock correctly just isn't possible, we can only afford to do one train, and it has to be a train that will appeal to the masses. I do agree a 104 would be great, however, the class 104 coupled to this route would not outsell this route compared to the Pacer, of that we're certain. The 142 appeals to a cross section demographic, particularly the younger generation. If it was a 104 it's quite likely a portion of these would probably say "What's a 104?".

There is nothing to say in future that we, or others cannot make additional stock for the route, to suit."

    Should make it a more interesting route with a 101,104,142, 20, 31, 37, 40,45,47 and 08, right?

I can certainly recall travelling on a 104 from Preston to Blackpool in the early/mid eighties. Well actually more a case of shoehorning myself into the vestibule, the train was that wedged.

It could go all the way to Kilmarnock with a class 156 as well. Plus east Kilbride branch. Makes it a decent length route. Hey, if they wanna go the extra mile (or 30) they could take it all the way to Dumfries and/or Carlisle!

I think the 380 looks better like that. Plus it's toggleable. (max speed is 50 mph when it is flat. 100mph when angled) Also look at it's headlights. Aren't they gorgeous! Very modern! Plus, who doesn't love the sound of a desiro??

Well, I can recommend both to you with Blackpool taking the lead over ECML. I would love to see some DLC for the both of them too.

Like I say they are both great routes so which ever one you do ever choose to go for you have made a good choice. I like highspeed and historic routes so these two fit into those categories for me!

I love that ECML has both long distance service and also IC services with a bit more stops

as for time period, I prefer modern electric traction (although I wouldnt mind some modern diesels, like US Siemens Chargers or BrightLine highspeed trains for Florida), both EMUs and push/pull stuff, even some loco hauled

as for UK, I really like those Hitachis on SEHS and of course Azumas are supercool... wouldnt mind more routes with layers of those... I also wouldnt mind at all if we got more stuff like 385 ScotRail, aka modern UK electric traction with some speeds over 140 or 160 km/h

Cathcart Circle is currently my most played route, it's a very cozy one to unwind with with the main loop and 2 branches East and West, so I'd absolutely love an update for it!

It would be brilliant to have a route overhaul for it with a class 380! :)

Honestly that one seems the most logical for a 380 route. About the right length, and has a frequent service to a significant town.

After watching some cabrides today and recalling the magic it was in TSC, my vote for a new UK route would be: WCML Preston - Carlisle or WCML Glasgow - Carlisle. I remember the two-part scenario over both these stretches of track in TSC. Surely one of the longest journeys you could slap together in that game.

An extension to Barrhead and a modern timetable including 380s and 385s would be brilliant. It would make it a very nice little network.

Only if it was a redone 385 by dtg. The rivet one is appalling.

Either section of the Northern WCML is definitely my ultimate dream route for TSW. I just don't have faith DTG can do it justice. Maybe JT could but that would be a long way off.

I've not been to Scotland since they were introduced, so I'm none the wiser as to whether it's realistic, so I don't mind it.

I think the Rivet one is fine.

Any other overground route except the Romford to Upminster (for obvious reasons) would’ve been better. Another linear route by dtg again. A combined West/North London line or the East London Line with all branches or the lea valley lines with all branches would already be more interesting than this. Also crazy since the class 710 runs on not just the GOBLIN which shows where their priorities are at.

You've just reminded me!!! I remember on an ATS stream people saw pictures of a render of a Voyager on Alan's Desktop!! He obviously didn't respond to anyone who pointed it out, but could a Voyager come to TSW!!??

We already have an OK Voyager model in TSC, so it kinda makes sense it could be for the upcoming TSW route they are making!!!!!!!! I like the Voyagers quite a bit too, very nice looking trains.

Would the next ATS route be PS4, or PC only does anyone know please? Thank you

It does exist on consoles, it's just that lots of the previous ATS things I've been interested in were PC only. Perhaps they were for TSC rather than TSW. Glad they are now doing console stuff too.

The ATS route will include existing rolling stock, not new stuff (will likely be revamped to a new TOC/Config/Subclass).

That would be a mistake. As I have said before, rolling stock sells routes.

Yea that's because tsc is pc only. Tsw on the other hand is console and pc. I don't think last gen will be supported forever just because they are really old at this point. But for now, they will still be supported
