Heya, if anyone here knows me I use to be extremely active here a month or so ago prior to my PC breaking. Unfortunately I doubt I'll be able to fix it so for Train simulators I'm down to either playing on steam deck (which I doubt would be a great experience) or getting it on PS5 (which luckily I did take the library last year of getting TSW3 on PS5 while my PC was suffering severe space issues giving me some DLCS to work around - namely the SEHS ones). While I know I don't need every dlc currently on PS5 I have two routes; SEHS (plus all loco DLCS) and bakerloo line. If I got the currently heavily discounted special edition this would add several routes with the three DLCS in it being cheaper to get with TSW4: those being Linke, ECML and the scotsman but I'm not opposed to giving the vectron a go as that seems really good. Given it's current price of 40 quid that's a lot of money off for the ones I'm Intrested in. (And I won't loose to much if I never play The yankie content).

I just wanted to quickly ask if anybody has any thoughts on wether these routes run poorly on PS5 or not and what to eventually work on. Thanks.

Note1 : there is a sale on the special untill the 17th I belive making it only 40 quid which isn't bad

Note 2: The only routes I am interested in are British and classic/diesel German routes (family has history on those railroads).

I recently moved to PS5 and the fps is a lot better for me. Most of the time it runs at 60fps even with all the layers for those routes. Game still suffers from stuttering and the lowest fps I’ve experienced so far is around 25 but it’s still a good experience

Yeah I did genuinely notice when I played TSW3 better CONSISTENT frame rate then on PC with layers. The only real issue being the weird texture blur but that's easily overlooked IMO. Thanks.

I think that texture blur is only an Xbox problem, or at least it was. Haven’t seen it on PS5.
