Looks like RSSLO is quietly releasing their next route, Vienna to Bratislava, Slovakia and Hegyeshalom, Hungary on January 11 based on their website listing: https://www.rsslo.com/product/ostbahn/

To my knowledge there is currently only 1 freeware route in Slovakia and 2 in Hungary, so getting a decent quality payware expansion into those countries is welcome. I'd love to see them expand further to Budapest and north from Vienna to Brno in the future.

There already exists a line from Wien most of the way to Breclav the first station in the Czech Republic
    Nordbahn (Phase 1 / Phase 2) [RWA]
I don't know if RSSLO will be interested in making a route on Czech rails as there is a lot of freeware routes available from the Czech modellers.

I hope it will be a little more distinct, I find RSSLO routes to somehow all look the same.

RWA have Phase 3 released with Breclac included. But as can be read in deir RWA forum there is actual some big bug that leads to an freeze in that area.
The big question about the RSSLO route will be: have they build backdrops (like those in OMSI) in Vienna too like in their other Vienna routes? Then I will definitively not buy it. Backdrops is one thing - I would not care, but they build around Vienna so much of this ugly 1dimensional buildings, you can see directly from cab that they flat like paper! And thats a NoGo.

Indeed, but I'm not a fan of what I see as RWA overpricing the three phases they've produced. In my personal opinion, there isn't nearly enough there to justify the prices for the three phases, so I've stayed away so far.

As for the Czech routes, many of the handful available are unfinished and none that follow a mainline at the moment that I'm aware of.

Can you link me to those? I'm putting together a catalog and map of all routes for the community and didn't find those on any of the czech forums or sites.

Oh, good luck with installing the Cheb-Route. Have tried, but given up. To many dependencies to other route´s assets and for one it seems a strange downloader/installing tool is needed for one asset. And that tool I couldn´t download for any reason. (Apart from that, I don't like tools like these where you don't know what they will end up doing in the asset folder and maybe even overwrite something without asking. In the end you end up with an older asset than you had before and other stuff dont work anymore correct)

Oh yea, I'm not planning on installing it for that very reason. But I'm trying to catalog all available routes for a community project, so I just need to know that it exists and where.

I'll give Cheb a try. Spent a few holidays at the lake in my childhood there, meeting up with family members from behind the Iron Curtain.

Will check out RouteProperties.xml and then decide... 61 dependencies.... ok I do have quite a lot of them already. Let's see the milk bottles then :)
