With over 500 titles of DLC available on Steam, it would be nice to have a way to see the different locations available on a map, or even just by general region (United States, Western Europe, Central Europe, etc). For example, I am in Seattle, and found the Stevens Pass DLC. However with family in Europe it would be nice to know what is closest to them that I could try and see if it's a place I know in real life. If this functionality exists already, somebody please tell me.
I tend to use google maps and set it to public transport (the train icon) I know the UK has rail maps at https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations_destinations/maps.aspx but don't know about other countries
In DTGs own store, you can filter out based countries and some other things as well. Steam is not the only place to get content. There are also third parties like JustTrains, RSSLO, Armstrong powerhouse and more that sell content on their own websites (some of which is also available on Steam). Finally there are some free routes available on Steam workshop and some other websites, which usually require some payware content to work. If you told us the place that you are interested in, someone will surely recommend you some routes that are nearby.
Do you mean something like this? (disclaimer- not my content): http://cvk.pethu.se/routemaps.html If this has been done for other countries I haven't found it.
Thanks, when I was looking at the website before I got redirected to steam the first time I tried. I found the advanced filter on their store page now, thank you. I was looking for places in Seattle, Prague, or Brussels. I did get the Stevens Pass add on. Yeah! I think something like that for all their products would be a really good idea.
The problem is that DLC are created by all sorts of content creators, so even if DTG did what they themselves have produced, or even released by others that would leave out a heck of a lot
I have not tested any of those routes but they should be close to what you are looking for: https://rw.jachyhm.cz/download/2016/12/trat-220-praha-summerau/ https://rw.jachyhm.cz/download/2019/03/demova-tvorba-do-railworks/#more-1354 http://modely-msts.cz/railworks.html https://www.treinpunt.nl/forum/index.php?action=downloads;sa=details;lid=7714 http://railsimbelgium.zohosites.eu/treinen.html I'm unfamiliar with US railroading but I will include this link here anyway: http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/download-library/route-collection?limitstart=0 Not all of it is english but that should be expected when downloading community stuff. edit: how could I forget about this beautiful thread
Interesting map JJ - I wasn't aware of that. I note it has some Just Trains routes on too - wouldn't it be nice if it had some of the other major third party maps on too - I'm thinking Steam Sounds Supreme, DPSimulations etc.
