Steam [tsw 2] Class 166 Stuck At Red Signal (redhill). I'm Looking For A Fix.

On service mode on the Class 166 from Reigate to Redhill on the Gatwick Airport run the signal for platform 1 is permanently stuck on red while the Tunbridge train sits on the platform. There is no calling on signal to allow me to go to the platform.

If anyone has a mod to fix this problem, please share it.

 

Which service number is that? There's a lot of those services in the timetable.

 

I have this problem with all services Class 166 from Reading to Gatwick Airport (Part 1).
Service from Reading to Gatwick Airport (Part 2) works perfectly.

 

This is an old, old issue with the route. Not sure if it's fixed in TSW3 or 4.

 

Maybe some player fixed it with his own patch.

 

Unlikely. It's a core issue with permissive working on the route where the calling on signal will not clear to arrive on top of the train already occupying the platform and Tab to the signaller doesn't work either.

 

Maybe removing the AI train at Redhill station will solve this problem?

 

Seems fixed. I get a shunting signal allowing me to access Redhill P1 correctly on TSW 4. Part 1 finished. Switch cabs to resume in Part2.



Nothing you can really do about that in TSW2 I guess... maybe using GodMode (it allows you to SPAD)

 

Also, the automatic switch is switched to the wrong railway track (After the train from Reigate to London Victoria). Perhaps that's why the red signal is on.

 

Basically, like it or not, you need to move forward to TSW4.

 

Yeah it has been fixed in TSW4, can't remember for TSW3 though
