I am a big fan of freight driving but the 66 in TSW drives a bit weird, the physics feel slightly off to me. Compared to the physics and moving freight in Run8, TSW lags behind unfortunately. Shame because the 66 cab is modelled quite nicely. Come to think of it, train physics is v important for me, more so than pretty visuals. The physics I've experiened in Run8 and even the new Siberian Rail demo are great, you really need to pay attention to all aspects of driving, gradients, brake capability etc. I just feel in TSW I can slam on the brakes and it'll be fine. But TSW does other things much better than others, so there isn't the perfect sim unfortunately.

I'm reasonably sure the power developed in Notch 1 & 2 is out of step with (higher than) what you get in Notch 3+. That will make it feel weird to drive.

I have a suspicious feeling going back through old routes and fixing them was not Adams favourite thing to be doing.

Do a job too well and you'll be stuck with it for life.

Yea but it restored faith in the TSW community. If I was Adam personally I would continue to work on older route and fixing them, we all know the work is gonna be worth it in the end. Not to mention it will regain interest in them(Take GWE as a prime example, the Trains got a Brand New Sound Set, Working PIS displays, Working displays on the GWR 166, not to mention it included more playable freight services with the Cement wagons. It made one of the more forgotten routes more engaging and added additional replay Value

The problem was that new bugs/issues were constantly being found.

It just wasn't worth it to go back and fix a bug, only for 10 more bugs to suddenly pop up and need sorting.

Too much time for too little gain.

I’m playing on Xbox Series X and it is definitely missing. I played it again yesterday to check.

That is strange as I think this was on my series S. I will fire the route up when I get home tonight and see but I am sure at some point it were there.

Spoke to soon… seems I still can’t acknowledge DSD via the controller

I should point out acknowledging AWS via the controller always worked for me. Wondering if this is an Xbox specific issue?

TSW varies from DLC to DLC in terms of physics realism. From my estimation, at it's best it beats out both Run8, Simrail and even Zusi, at it's worst it falls behind all of them. I can't say how the "average TSW DLC" compares to other commercial train simulators in terms of physics realism.

I've been exploring the route and I'm very impressed with the improvements - well done everyone at Skyhook, you've really put the work in!

That said (and I feel like a louse raising this, but I'm a neurotic former proofreader), I've noticed a couple of typos in the signs at Derby station (and probably elsewhere too):

Wouldn't be surprised if that was the same in real life as well to be honest.

I would’ve pressed the emergency button on the “Help Point” to tell them these typos. To be fair I’m not sure they’ll patch this route anymore.

You can see a summary in the announcements section.

I also doubt that, might only happen if a dedicated Skyhook dev adresses that in their spare time, it won't be paid work I'm afraid. Or a modder does it for PC. The Derby "Staion Supervisor". But then, I'm mostly sitting in my cab. A lot of your time will be spent in the driver's seat, you know ;)

Yeah absolutely and I don’t think Skyhook has the same amount of staff as DTG, but personally having these spelling mistakes doesn’t really bother me at all, it’s not game breaking.
