Hi guys, I've just downloaded the Bernina Line on my XSX and it seems, that I can't turn on the safety systems in cab... seems that the fix from weekend wasn't shipped yet. But overall I'm in love with the route so far...
It’s working for me, have you pressed the “ZS” button next to the brake lever for the safety systems: And “SISTE” for the vigilance systems ?
Hi, I can now confirm that safety systems are available to activate in the cab via buttons as it should. Acknowledge button is also correctly mapped to the B key on the controller. Thanks for very quick update Jan!
Rivet have produced a decent effort. Had the route been longer, with more vegetation on the mountains especially around Tirano and less red roofed houses it would have been excellent and quite realistic. Attention to detail is important. Anyway Rivet have my congratulations for a fun and enjoyable route.
Route is overall quite nice did enjoy it on my first run, But i did find some issues and i was wondering if i can report them here? (PC - steam) 1. Something is off with the running sounds, bass is way to heavy even when turned way down, you cannot distinguish the flange sound when going trough corners (and on these trains that is really loud). Also joints sound when going trough switches cannot be heard 2. Speed control is unable to keep speed when accelerating, it will often exceed with 1 km/h over the limit even when climbing. 3. Some light bleed out on the ground under the train. (i don't know if this is intentional, maybe from the windows but i don't think so)
This road is magnificent, there are some grandiose passages!!! What a shame it won't go as far as St Moritz, but I'd be happy with it anyway. Thank you Rivet. THX
need fix asap to the new trains introduction as it dont have the introduction screen and just cuts right to the train with all the background blurred out and then removes the blur around 10 secs later its off pudding and needs fixing asap as someone who wants to do a video for my main you tube channel it looks bad for my viewers
If this many people is liking this route then Rivet should take all this feedback into consideration and extend it to St Moritz
So I really have to say this is one of the best routes we have had in a very long time! It looks gorgeous, the train is amazing and I haven’t found any gamebreaking bugs as of now. There were a few small things like a missing piece in the mountain at Brusio, the weird starting point at Tirano for some trains and that I had an emergency ZS break although afaik I didn’t do anything wrong (although it might have been my fault, Idk). But there was nothing gamebreaking and this is something I haven’t seen in quite a while! I really hope they consider adding an extension pck with the missing part to St. Moritz with the BEX coaches and the ABe 4/4 III- I would happily pay 20€ for that for sure (and I guess I‘m not the only one) The only real bug was that the announcements were not working as intended. You get the first announcement when starting a service but I haven’t heard any other announcement after that- is anybody else experiencing this?
after doing a 40min trip on the route not even the full route and going up not down i have to say is it true a rivet games route because OMG they smashed it out of the park this is hands down there best ever project hats off to the whole team that worked on this one its a gem and by far a true masterclass top contender for route of the TSW4 Era
A GREAT RIVET GAMES PRODUCT??? Guys... We've reached the unthinkable. Rivet Games actually created something Amazing for the first time since IOW 2022. This has to be a dream, Well done Rivet. And the fact that it's the first good TSW 4 product since PBO is even crazier..
1) Next to no road traffic, even in the villages. 2) Wrong tracks used. 3) Announcements don’t work. 4) Brusio downhill stop marker is off the platform. A great route? No. It’s decent but not worth the price.
Some interesting comments in the feedback thread too. If this had been the full route I might (just) have conceded a full price Day Three purchase. However that issue notwithstanding and even allowing for the fact Rivet seem to have half pulled their socks up on this one, still thinking 50% off at sale time.
Nice work Rivet Games !! Finally a mountains line that is pleasant to ride. I had no problems with the annoucements which worked well. I really like this DLC even if there are some elements to correct and improve I hope you will complete the line later and that we can go through it in full
I would go that far. Yes it’s the best Rivet route to date, but it still needs more attention to detail on points mentioned previously in the community. Looking forward to the next Just Trains route which will blow us out of the water if last night’s stream on their new TSC route is anything to go by. Yes, I congratulate Rivet on a better effort than in the past. Just make WCL look realistic and I would be happier with their designing.
The RHB GE 4/4 does not work in free mode!!! can you repair it please rivet? THANKS I love the road, you did a great job, I would love to have the missing piece, I am ready to pay for it!! Looking forward to another route Switzerland
Bought this route yesterday and I honestly love it, had a great time driving down the mountains in the snow. I'm still a little disappointed that the route ends at Ospizio but overall I would absolutely recommend this route, great work Rivet!
You have too use off the rails mode for the GE 4/4 II because Benina uses a different voltage system to Arosa which the GE 4/4 II irl are not equipped for.
My thinking too. I love the RhB but I was stung with the Arosa Line at full price which I regret. This looks like the standard that Arosa was meant to be. I'd love to see an upgrade to Arosa so I can justify some of the DLC they made for it.
@ Community Managers Why doesn't this thread get locked so we don't have two threads on the same topic? Better to post in the Feedback thread imho. Basically it's just an announcement topic.
She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes Coming round the mountain, she'll be coming round the mountain, Coming round the mountain when she comes
Hi all I don't know why people moan so much about pricing I don't think so I think it a reasonable price of £29.99/€35.99 $39.99 there is away to lower that price but there is a catch you have to be a playstation plus member for this to work every points have built up you can get gift cards for £5 or £20 gift cards that can go towards the DLC you want to buy I use one on Tuesday for this route I only payed £24.99 for this DLC but every DLC you buy will add points to build back up again
Yes, spot on! I did the same with BPO. I bought a £30 PSN gift card for £26.37p, and I used a £5 PSN rewards top up. So in total I only paid £21.37p for a £30 route. PSN gift cards are the way to go if you’re looking to save some money.
Well, as the tracks have already been laid to St. Moritz, even though still in the state of the Flughafen-branch, I guess, it's not impossible that probably at someday, it would be the whole line...
Before I buy, I would like to know if the mountain scenery draw distance on Xbox Series X is the same as on PC ? Or is it as horrible crippled on draw distance like it is on the Vorarlberg route ? Vorarlberg is just horrible on the Xbox Series X with the mountain scenery poping in and out every few meters. Vorarlberg on XB Series XS looks really bad and nowhere near of what they did showcase in their preview. It is one of the worst routes on XBSX because the draw distance reduction destroys the whole scenic atmosphere of that route on console. Wanted to know its the same on the Bernina route now or if we can actually enjoy the scenery the route has to offer.
Take a look at the route's manual -- there's a link to it earlier in this thread -- it covers the safety systems thoroughly, but, unfortunately, does not include keyboard equivalents, which are also missing from the tutorial.
Safety system keyboard mapping is shown in the Control Guide in the Pause menu. It's hardcoded, not DLC-specific.
DTG Alex Thought you might be interested in this. I decided to drive north out of Bernina Ospizio. First interesting thing the end of the track on the map is not the end of the modelled line secondly after about 1km out of ospizio the overhead runs out Then the modelled road runs out. Loco keeps going these are some shot of line going down the northern side of the pass 7 degree down After travelling about 4km from bernina ospizio the track appears to be modelled further on but a red light triggers a signal passed at danger message Thought it would be worth posting. Looks like more of the route has been worked on north of bernina. Unlike normal route which when you reach end of modelled track on map gives you message you are going out of mapped area and it goes back to main screen. This route lets you go off mapped area and it’s only red light at danger that stops you. wonder if this apparent oversight is hint from rivet the rest of the line may be modelled as expansion in future.
It's a rivet project so tagging dtg wouldn't mean much. There are no plans to extend it as per rivets words. They are busy working on the uk route and any post launch updates but they aren't planning to extend it
Interesting they’ve clearly put a lot of effort in. I’ve looked elsewhere and found YouTube videos showing generally scenery and track all the way to st moritz.
It's only basic lidar data and track and some signals. Everything else like actual scenery detail and stations are missing which most would have to be detailed by hand.
Congratulations Rivet. They definitely learned from the design and did a good job. This is what mountains should look like. Nice atmosphere here. Impressive. My only point of criticism would be the sound of the vehicle, which unfortunately just doesn't sound nice or realistic.
Just thought I'd mention that I've managed to identify the default key bindings for the Alegra 8/12 RhB engine's Cruise Control: to increase cruise control speed press the R key; to decrease it, press the F key. Each key tap increases / decreases the cruise control speed by 5 KpH. Since these keys are located very close to the A, D, W, and S keys, caution must be used when tapping or pressing them (yes, I've learned this the hard way). I'm still having a heck of a time completing many of the activities available with this route, but I'm determined to persevere. Yesterday, just as I was reaching the end of a long and somewhat complicated scenario, a power failure occurred! GRRRRRRRRR!!!
LastTrain, you should be aware that the Allegra has a cruise control stop at 33 km/h also. This is only used on the Arose line, but is still in the settings.
