Hi, I have several tunnels on the route I am building. So far they display correctly except for 1 where the hole decal at one end of the tunnel refuses to punch a hole in the terrain. I have tried: deleting the original decal and replacing deleting the mixmap tile to put the terrain back to the base texture and adding a new decal. and, cutting the tunnel slightly farther into the hill to expose a new bit of terrain and ading a new decal. In each case I hit F2 and then the play button and I can see into the tunnel. When I drive the section of route in Quick drive, there is a wall of terrain where there should be a hole. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks Clive
Thanks for the reply. I've not normally got a problem using the decals (which all the Youtube videos i've found, deal with). It's this one tunnel entrance. I even tried placing a decal on the terrain next to the track near the tunnel as an experiment. That should have made a hole but nothing. This is when UKTS is missed. No doubt there was a solution or work around there. Cheers Clive
There may be some bad ones, mind you. Donner Pass has some issues. Might help if you tell which exact one it is, there are a few curious folks who might decide to try it. I have a faint memory of some loading differently based on what triggers the load, am I starting there, or am I approaching it from this or that direction, etc.
Thanks, it's a route that I am building but I seem to have solved it. I make a quick drive that covers the section of the route where i'm adding scenery to make sure everything looks ok before moving on to the next section. I decided to make a standard scenario for that section and the decal works???. I don't understand why but I suppose it is one of the quirks of TS.
