With a route mileage of just over 85 miles, this route provides ample opportunities for exploration to a wide variety of destinations across the East Midlands Railway network as well as the inclusion of Newark Northgate in this route due to the 2 hourly LNER Lincoln - Kings Cross service

    Proposed Rolling Stock
    • Class 158 in East Midlands Trains (with EMR branding) livery[IMG]
26 Class 158s make up the EMR fleet, with these seeing use predominantly on the Liverpool - Norwich services as well as occasional appearances on services to Skegness, Lincoln Central & Worksop. The EMR fleet are all 2 cars and capable of 90mph.
    • Class 170 in East Midlands Railway livery[IMG]
EMR have 43 Class 170s in their fleet, with the most common of these being the 2 car Class 170/5 (previously WMR units) as well as the Class 170/2 units (170201-208 and 270-273, with 201-208 being 3 cars and 270-273 being 2 car units)
    • Class 70 in Colas Rail livery[IMG]
Colas ordered 17 of these locos between 2014 and 2016, with them finding themselves on almost any Colas working that isn't a test train nowadays. Amongst these workings are the Lindsey - Kingsbury Oil trains, of which there are 6 trains daily (3 in each direction). These services would be drivable by the player from Lincoln through to Nottingham. The locos have a top speed of 75mph
    • Class 801 in LNER livery[IMG]
Already in game via the Peterborough - Doncaster route, the 801s would provide a wealth of AI at Grantham & Newark as well as working the Lincoln - Kings Cross services, of which there are 6 services in each direction every day.

Nice suggestion - if the 158 is added, I would like to see a systems option to change the length of time the guard door takes to close - or a timetable that accurately reflects the time required.

Would be nice to see a class 70.

Is the route fully electrified? If so, would also be nice to see the 225. If not, we would need an 800 or some kind of 801 with enhanced diesel performance.

I'm pretty sure the 801 can't have enhanced diesel performance, it is like how it is irl

The 801s are electric with a single back up emergency diesel engine.
I’m saying that if the route isn’t fully electrified (I don’t know if it is or not), then we would either need an 800 or a modified version of the 801 (not a real life version, but perhaps if DTG wasn’t able to have full access to an 800) which allowed us to drive with similar acceleration to an 800 on diesel.
