I recently lost all of my progress in TSW due to my files being deleted during a windows recovery after a windows update and it is extremely unlikely that I will decide to continue to play the game to get back where I was with my progress as I have spent over 500 hours on the game and had Sand Patch Grade 100% completed, scenarios and time table all with perfect action point scores along with all of the collectibles, and then Cajon Pass, Crain Creek, Horse Shoe, and Sherman Hill scenarios all 100% completed with all perfect scores on action points (other the Twilight Train on Cajon Pass as it is bugged and requires 180000 action points for gold). And I know for a fact I am not the first or last person to lose all of there progress and I am suggesting that Dovetail live should save in game progression or even have steam save your in game progression in the cloud.
Dovetail Live is completely separate to the game. If you put in a ticket on Dovetail Support they may be able to help restore your progress.
it’s not but in this case they are asking for its remit to be extended to cover progress and levels (probably unlikely to happen, data storing of this kind isn’t usually long term cheap or practical from what I hear of it anyways.)
Yeah they just keep saying they do not store any save files and that the saves are local only despite me saying I’m asking if they have any, and I mean any with some progress close to where I was on hand on a testing rig
