Visibility is severely hampered with this bug.

GWR is clearly a popular route as is seen by the number of suggestions for extensions. The HST was obviously considered a popular train for DTG to spend time making it Livery Designer compatible.

So on that basis, I would have thought a bug that makes the HST pretty much underivable in typical English weather, would have a little more priority.

Fine that you have a system of prioritisation. But in my opinion this needs to be a lot higher up. If there are any fixes in the winter update that have less impact than this one, expect some further questions.

As I see it, the whole communication with DTG is absolutely useless.

The November Roadmap "High Priority" statement was clearly a lie.

Still, DTG haven't understood anything, acting like a stubborn child. The correct reaction would have been "we'll sort this immediately, our customers have paid and are expecting the DLC to work". I'm not buying those excuses for intense testing requirements, as it is exactly what is NOT happening when releasing products and fixes, as seen by the crazy amount of reports and tickets, and the now broken lighting at Paddington and Reading.

Instead, they've settled with having frustrated customers, it's nothing for them to worry about, because the money is there.

Or it really is a dirty trick, intentionally breaking stuff to make people hope for it to be fixed in the next iteration (RRO). I'm not ruling that out as being DTG's business practice any more. "Buy TSW5 for the working PC Editor, Suspension and all the fixes!".

So, this is what's required to do this in TSC. This texture determines where rain will stick (white) and be removed and how the drops pearl off (based on the colours). Changing this texture requires a test of a minute. I know TSW is different, but not that different that it takes a manyear to do it. I'm not buying these excuses. The CM statements make your credibility even worse.

Ironic... lies get you nowhere in life. Being happy with frustrated customers is even worse

  5. As someone who started with the launch Train Sim World, I can say I have had to wait a few years for physics to be updated or integrated with simugraph.

    It takes time.

I don't usually drive with rain and I have the summer set with sometimes cloud as the UK often has clouds in summer.

Hopefully DTG can use this as a way to ensure bugs are not reintroduced again.

I guess there is a way to run the version with the fix before the update. I know someone said it can be done and gave instructions on how to run previous versions.

If you choose to only drive in good weather or not is absolutely not the point. The point is the lie that was the issue was "High Priority" in November and now off the table.

It takes an afternoon to place the texture onto the windshield. Being apologetic just confirms their way of not fixing things. This is a commercial company, not some hobbyists that can take as long as they want to fix things they broke themselves.

If you smash your neighbours' window and tell him you need time to fix them, guess what happens.

Fair enough, thank you for you input on the matter JD we aren't expecting things to be fixed immediately at the click of fingers, however in this case it's been 7 months and still nothing only to be told details we already know and that it's now no longer a priority fix, it's more than frustrating, it's insulting. What is more baffling is an unneeded "QoL improvement" was made to the HST which was to raise the seat height, so you can't say that there hasn't been time to fix the wiper issue, that change was made that as far as I'm aware with no community feedback on the matter even though it's stated in a patch note that it was.

Secondly and I'm sure you'll agree but bugs like this should not be getting past your testers or the QA team, isn't that what they are there for... To test for bugs and make sure quality is up to par before getting released? Or is it a case that the bug was picked up and logged but was still deemed ok to go out by whoever finalized the decision for that patch.

This bug maybe minor compared to some of the issues with the game BUT lets not forget dynamic weather is a feature that DTG bigged up with TSW3 on launch, yet you can't properly drive the HST with dynamic weather (or preset to bad weather) because you can't see out the windscreen where it's not getting cleared, even more frustrating when you use minimal HUD/no HUD in TSW4 because you rely on the in cab instruments and looking out the window to drive.

If you don't want to fix your self-produced bug even after 7 months, you should give us back the old HST without Livery Designer comapatibility, and please also revise the changed camera position of the driver that NOBODY asked for. Because working wipers are far more important for the gameplay than being able to create liveries. Finally, GWE should either temporarily disappear from the stores or be labeled with a note that the wipers are broken. Fair is fair, or does the word "fair" not exist in DTG's vocabulary?

So based on your argument, all games should be removed from the stores because they have bugs? I have played really good games that still have major bugs or introduced new ones but they aren't removed.

It is a game breaking bug. A unit with non working wipers would have to be immediately hauled to maintenance and not allowed to run.

We're not talking about a floating tree here. If that was my piece of software I'd withdraw it, because people buying it would immediately think "is this some sort of joke? Basic stuff not working? Refund." It's a shame.

This kind of bug should be high priority regardless of dlc release date, it should at least be being seen to/fixed, then waiting asap on an update slot.
