Lovely suggestion mate I would love to see this in game but since its ATO I don't think it would get added anytime soon
Probably around 2016/2017, even then the S-Stock ran for quite a while manually after the C-Stock was withdrawn.
Oh wait- you would like like that but i aint sure if i will, lets jus see in the future even if dtg makes it
The C-Stock is quite similar to the 1972 Stock we have in-game so you can use that as reference to see if you'd like it or not.
CBTC Has been on the line since it stasrted in march 2019 with the section between latimer road and hammersmith it was gradually introduced further into the line in stages after that. Very nice proposal however for the last few years the line has run in conjuction with the circle line which is more so known as the T cup. Basically a train will leave edgware road on the inner rail run around the circle via victoria round to liverpool street then head off to Hammersmith. On its return trip the train will then either run to barking via kings cross (10 minute interval) or go back round the circle via kings cross and embankment back up to edgware road again. (10 minute interval) the 2 10 minute interval trips create a combined frequency for 5 minutes between edgware road and hammermith. Trains from barking run directly to hammersmith via kings cross (10 minute frequency) hope this makes sense lol
Perfect idea! Great to see something back in London. Although a C stock would also be fantastic on the Underground line something like a transition year C and S stock
Lovely idea but won't come from DTG as they Have a bane of one handle control and 3rd rail ban which might as well say 4th rail aswell
afaik they have a ban on southern routes not 3rd rail and one handle control (Which they really haven't done since we were given ONE northern route which was short, the rest were in the midlands). The 'excuse' for gospel oak to barking riverside coming out is that it is ohle not 3rd rail.
I think having the route set modern day with ATO would be fine. It be optional like LZB for the German routes, if you want to use it go ahead for realism but if you don’t want to you can drive it manually. Perhaps JT could make this route since they’ve already done the Metropolitan in TSC
I agree. I am sure that some sections would be in manual but I am unsure. I am familiar with the route and I would love to have this is Train Sim world. It does not seem like they have an intention on creating another London Underground route though
any metro line with safety and signalling would be welcome ... I mean, Bakerloo line is nice, but since it only has alerter and nothing else, is of no interest to me anymore ... I kinda love those safety shenanigans, as those bring excitement to the experience O
It actually does have a lot more safety systems in reality like approach controlled signals, Correct Side Door Enable (CSDE) and 'sleeping policemen' which make sure the train doesn't crash into the buffers at the end of the tracks, but DTG didn't bother to implement these.
I also must say that if DTG's recreation of the Bakerloo Line was a reality then it would be declared unsafe by the Department for Transport and shut down, like seriously no tripc-ck testers, tripc-ck functionality or even emergency tunnel lights, I seriously wonder how they missed out the last part.
personally I would also love any of the complete Vienna U-Bahn lines, preferrably U4 or U6 as those have interesting overground sections... or U2, but only if it included the extension to Seestadt
The Hammersmith and City Line is a great line and it would be a great idea to visit the entire London Underground if visiting London or if you are local.
dont get me wrong, I admire London transport system, just not a fan of its fare system ... although, I am aware of the fact that Vienna fare model is not really feasible for most big cities - you just buy a 5.80 € ticket and you're good for the rest of the day till 1am the next day... and you can ride as much as you want on anything travelling within Vienna core zone (as for trains, it applies to anything OBB, not Westbahn or DB)... with 365 € for a yearly ticket (395 if you pay in monthly payments) it is like... damn and they are now slowly introducing new rolling stock for U-Bahn - partly to test it in service before it goes fully online on the future U5 #viennatransportfanboy
I would love this route. It may be slightly easier to produce as it is a single branch. It seems like the sub-surface tube lines are more popular than the deep level underground line which I do not mind since I love the S stock trains
The main problem in my opinion with LU lines is the amount of interchanges. For example you can see the central line platform at mile end so would they run AI layer '72 stock there or would they just make it not in use. Either way there would be complaints.
I get what you mean however it would be a wasted opportunity if the London Underground was not recreated.
I know, I'm a big fan of the LU but until we can get fully realistic stations (with all trains running) I'd actually rather DTG avoided it.
They seem to work extremely hard on foreign routes so I am sure that they can put that effort into the London Underground
They work especially hard on German routes. I wish they put the same amount of effort on other routes but I should not complain to much as Dtg work really hard
